If you know Luigettas than you know and i dont need to tell you. For those who dont know Luigettas has been a staple of Altoona. Luigettas has been around for as long as i can remember and the best part is its always the same, which is a good thing. So many restaurants have gone down hill, some worse than others if you go to Luigettas you know tour going to get the same thing the same quality everytime. In fact we bought Mcdonalds for the kids and Luigettas for the rest of us and we got way more food for the money first of all, second we had a 20 minute drive of course the Mcdonalds was cold but Luigettas was still really warm the salad was still gresh and cold. There dressing is homemade and its a secret recipe and it has not changed that in aware of. The quality is always there the service is always prompt and accurate they never gave me the wrong thing or messed up my order. I get a cheesesteak with salad and it always tastes so good. I also havent heard anyone else complain about anything which is rare. They also have a great selection of milkshakes you can fill your belly and your sweet tooth all in one. There isnt much for atmoshpere but no one cares because you dont go for the atmosphere you go for the amazing food and the kind service. You will not be disappointed and i have worked in restaurants my whole life i know quality i give Luigettas a 5 star rating, that doesnt happen very often i do not give out compliments for free

They used to have good food i ordered a meatball sub and I had 1 entire pepper on it and 1 pickle and a handful of cheese thrown into the middle and i had it toasted and it wasn’t even toasted the end was slightly crisp but that’s it this place has really gone down hill I don’t recommend eating here until they step it

Waste of money.Easily the worst Italian sub or sandwich I’ve had. The soaked dressing is disgusting and wish it just came on the sandwich. Never again. Better off buying lunch meat and making something at home. also for cheese steaks they use “minute steak-ums”. Better off just going to Jersey Mikes then trying one of these local establishments

The worker girl was so nice, and even other diners were chatty. Cute place ;)

Wow this was amazing. 5 stars for the food alone. Great onion rings but that cheesesteak on the Pita bread with the house dressing and salad. Oh wow. I like the dining environment. They have a nice diner area up front and a larger dining area for busy dinners in the back. Staff was great. I loved it! I love Mum & Pop shops.

Always good food and great service. My family has been going to this place for years.

Growing up in the area, this place was a staple of my childhood. Returning over 20 years later did not disappoint. The tastes and atmosphere are exactly the way I remebered them. The salad is my favorite, their homemade dressing being the chef's kiss!
