Tried out the place on a busy Sunday at noon for breakfast. We got seated fast even with the busy atmosphere. I got the haystack breakfast and now I'm upset because it was so delicious but I live 2 hours away so I won't be able to have it again until i visit home? it was phenomenal and the price is unbelievable. My mom got the country fried steak and she loved hers too. Cannot wait to go again

I have been to a couple of these restaurants in different areas. This one is by far the best I have been at. The waitress we had tonight was the best I have had. Food was amazing and portions were great! Would definitely recommend!!

My wife and son sat at a table for 45 minutes waiting for our food. Never came to refill our drinks or offer us an appetizer for waiting or anything no apologies nothing. So I told them I'd pay for my son's pink lemonade and forget our order and left. Childish maybe but it's valley dairy not a fancy restaurant. If I could have given no stars I would.

This is a very good place to have breakfast in Altoona, they have lots of space, nice clean atmosphere and friendly service, but most of all the food is good and the prices are fair. No long wait for your food. They haven't been here long I suspect once more people try it they will be much busier. The only negative I have is getting charged 4% on my bank card, will be using cash from here out. Other wise in 6 trips it's always been a positive experience.

We had a delicious breakfast/lunch today and our service was spectacular! Melanie was such a great server and was very accommodating to my special needs stepdaughter and Justine checked in with us to make sure everything was on point. We’ll definitely be back! Yum!

I recommend you trying the place out yourself. That being said, me and my wife don't plan to go back. Food had no taste to them (flavor or seasons), nothing was cooked long enough (French toast was undercooked in the middle, potatoes was still more solid, peppers n onions in the omelet just looked and feel heated up for few seconds) and that was my meal. My wife had concerns with her open face meat loaf. To add more, on the drive home, wife started feeling sick and wanted to puke. She made it to the bathroom once we finally got home. Stomach felt bad up til this morning.Again, try the place out yourself, maybe it was just a bad day for us to go. But yea, we never going back again. The staff were nice though. That's probably the only good thing I got. Oh, and water tasted straight like from the sink. Which many places do that I'm sure... I recommend a different process for that if the water gonna taste like it that much.
Valley Dairy Altoona location has been a gift to the area.The staff is pleasant and wonderful, especially Dana, who has been one of the best servers I have had the opportunity to meet.
