The atmosphere is set up to slightly resemble a shop on a beach boardwalk from what I see. Its beautiful. I am avidly usually against dining in, but this place is a place I would love to take my family inside to eat at. It smells wonderful and is superbly upkept. The staff are kind and make you feel very welcome.Today I got my order for pickup because I am on shift at work, but I will for sure be back to enjoy the experince from the dine-in perspective.It is for sure the BEST sandwich shop/feel-good food shop in Altoona.

Wow, Woody’s in Altoona is delicious! I put together an order for my team at AT&T on Pleasant Valley Boulevard and we were not disappointed! The burger tasted real and authentic! The bun even had a nice, homemade taste to it! The wings we got were crispy, tasty and well-cooked! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WOODYS! Sweetest little diner off the main road. Drop in if you're heading out across the states for a fuel up on some proper comfort food. Steaks, burgers and much much more. Come for the food and you'll end up staying for the gentle souls running the establishment with a touch of love in every bite.
Fantastic little place in Altoona. I had the Italian Sub and Fries. The salad and dressing on the sub was amazing! The Fries rival thr best fries you've had anywhere else. The service was friendly and fast with a relaxed atmosphere. Recommend it to anyone!

I was pleasantly surprised by this tiny restaurant! I ordered a chicken salad, expecting something small....and that was NOT the case! Tons of chicken and fresh cut fries on a bed of lettuce, covered with cheese (tomatoes and onions were hidden underneath). I also got the pretzel and beer cheese since I wasn't expecting a huge salad. Also was more than I expected! Hot pretzel sticks (rods?) that were fantastic dipped in the cheese sauce! Leftovers were brought home! Reasonably priced as well!

Got it to go. I'm a big fan of their salad dressing, which is better in-house because they marinate/saturate the salad in the dressing. For to-go orders, it's on the side and it's not quite as good, but still a great salad. The sandwich was a little underwhelming.

Great service and atmosphere. The food was amazing. My 8 year old daughter who is a very picky eater ate a cheeseburger and said it was her favorite place to eat.Kid-friendliness: The staff made my family feel like we were hanging out with friends.
Cheesesteak & cheeseburger were great. Salty but not too overpowering. Was actually quite good. French fries were lightly seasoned and tasty. The jalapeño poppers were fire !! Flavorful and spicy. Will return.

Food was good. But wait was long. They were very short handed. Party of five, received part of our food but waited another 15 minutes or so for the remaining burgers. Need to have more help over lunch this was our first visit, and being a server myself I understand it's hard to get help. Will probably give it one more try, but if same outcome won't return.
