We love the Foster House and have been customers for many years. We don’t get there as often as we used to, and usually just order take out these days. We’ve put our time in though; trying to get those Thursday night wings and a place to sit. It was always worth it though. ?? In the service industry, I’m sure it’s hard….well impossible, to get it perfect every time and please every customer. There will always be some service glitches, mistakes, and unsatisfied customers everywhere. Still…..for us, it is one of our favorite places. We always order king sandwiches and it was hard to try something else. Instead, we finally ordered a tray of their very cheap, tasteless, “middle school” pizza. We just love it. We are actually addicted to it. Our only problem is that we can only get it on weekends. It’s different and maybe not for everyone, but it works for us. Very yummy!
Always great food and they always support the community and local kids sports. Recommend to anyone in the Mon Valley area.

The king sandwiches are amazing! I've been a customer of the Foster House for many years. Many people were worried that the food quality wouldn't be the same when they moved to a knew location. That definitely wasn't that case with the King sandwich. The wings are a totally different story. They were still good after the move, but lately (past couple years) they have progressively gotten worse. The sauce flavor varies from week to week, but one thing has been very consistent lately. The wings are being served COLD. We have always gotten to the Foster House plenty early to get an order in before the serving time. We recently asked the cook, "why are the wings coming out so cold"? He proceeded to tell us that he was "told by the owner" to pre-cook them an hour or so before the serving time. He then told us that they are not reheated or dropped back in the fryer before serving. He basically has them sitting on the counter for an hour or so and then puts the inconsistent sauce over them. We have heard if you order later in the evening, you can get them fresh out of the fryer. I will definitely still have a King sandwich here and there, but unless the wings change (especially the temperature) my Thursday wing nights are OVER. This is not only my opinion, but the same thing goes for the group that I often attended wing night with. The OWERS need to see that they are losing Thursday customers. It was obviously less crowded the last time I was there.
King sandwiches are better than other places. Coleslaw is creamier, fries are crinkle cut, both elevate the sandwich. Service was good.
