The soup and gyros are top tier. Pretty much the only place in the city I would get grape leaves from (outside of the st Nicholas Greek food festival). Good takeout service on top of all the great food.

Family owned small business in Bellevue. Really good Greek food. Home made. Served fresh and hot. Great affordable prices. We went in and sat down. You basically go up to the counter order your food and take a seat. Or you can get it to go. But I prefer as fresh as possible so we ate inside. They have been here for 4 years now. You have to go try for yourself. It is a small limited menu but you really get good food. You won't be disappointed..

Evia is a small, casual restaurant that serves Greek foods and beverages such as dolmathes, pastitsio, moussaka, spanakopita, lamb souvlaki, salads, gyros, falafel, wraps, kourambiethes, etcetera. Prices are very reasonable. So far, I have ordered food from this restaurant once, and I plan to order additional foods in the future. I really enjoyed the Greek salad, hummus with pita, Greek grilled-cheese sandwich, baklava, and galaktoboureko.

Evia Greek is a local family-owned restaurant that serves foods such as salads, soup, sandwiches (e.g., gyros and wraps), entrees (e.g., dolmathes, pastitsio, moussaka, spanakopita, and lamb souvlaki), sides (e.g., Greek fries, rice pilaf, and lemon potatoes), and desserts (e.g., rice pudding, melomakarona cookies, and kourambiethes cookies). Prices are reasonable. Evia Greek has a small dining room and also offers takeout and delivery. I ordered several foods for delivery through GrubHub. The employees carefully packaged the correct foods. Here are my ratings for the foods: Greek salad - 5 stars - This salad was a good size. I enjoyed the flavors of the feta cheese, kalamata olives, red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini, and Greek dressing. Hummus - 4 stars - I thought that this hummus tasted good but a little sour. Pita - 5 stars - I ordered white pita. It was fresh and warm, and it tasted very good. Greek grilled-cheese sandwich - 5 stars - The sourdough bread was perfectly buttered and toasted, and I liked the melted Greek Kasseri cheese. Baklava - 5 stars - I really enjoyed the phyllo dough, walnuts, and honey. Galaktoboureko - 4.5 stars - The phyllo dough, custard, and honey were very fresh.

I would never order from here after the blatant disrespect stemming from recent delivery. Portions were meager, food was cold, and the packaging of contents haphazard. Furthermore, neither utensils nor napkins included for my trouble smacking of lazy and cheap. Fool me once, shame on you. Twice and thereafter, shame on me. Suffice to say, I will not be fooled again. This place fits in well in Bellevue in terms of another lousy eatery.

Evia was recommended by the Pittsburgh Foodies Group. Since I was in the area last evening, I decided to give it a go. I grew up in Jersey, & terribly miss the Green-owned diners with Greek menu options. I have a lot of Greek friends, been to Greece a few times, been to countless Greek fairs, & weddings, and so I feel like I am a good judge of Greek food. I was soooo excited to try Evia. Drumroll please - I'd say that the food was mediocre at best. I think it's probably as good as I'm going to get from PGH. I hate giving 3 stars since I love to support local restaurants but that's what I felt it deserved. I had the "Cretan Salad" which basically a the same thing as a Greek salad with big chunks of bread, a Gyro, & a serving of pastitsio. The pastitsio has a very thin layer of the Béchamel sauce, & the meat layer was minimal. The gyro wasn't anything to ride home about. I can't tell you how much I was excited about the Galaktoboureko but there was literally no custard! So all in all, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to Evia if you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine; if you want to satisfy a craving, or too lazy to cook and live in the area, this is a nice local option. I wouldn't recommend eating in; it's a small setting, kind of like a pizza joint. The tense cashier & staff appeared to be very stressed, and since it was an open setting, I witnessed the behind-the-scenes bossing around of the staff.

Open the door at EVIA and you will be greeted with the most amazing aroma of Greek specialties...the restaurant is tiny, just a few tables for dine-in and was super-charming.The meals were delicious:*Dolmathes, or stuffed grape leaves, with lemon to start, just enough to share as an appetizer and perfectly seasoned.*Pork Yeero Americana was extremely flavorful and delicious* Moussaka, or Greek vegetable casserole with beef, was hearty with well seasoned beef. The salad served with it was so large, it could be shared; salad dressing was housemade, light and flavorful.*Green tea, in a can, imported from Greece added to the Greek feel...photos of all are posted.Clean plate and no room for dessert!HIGHLY recommend and will return.
