We were lucky we had a reservation and were seared at the window. We had a great view of the street. The room itself is beautiful. Large windows, pressed tin ceiling and beautiful decor. The food was well prepared- albeit nothing out of the ordinary. Ww had shrimp cocktail. It was good. I had halibut with mushroom ravioli. It was fresh and prepared well, but again, it was not extraordinary. It's a great place for a nice dinner, in a beautiful venue for people who have a noncomplex flavor palate. It's very basic, steak, chicken, fish dishes that are quite plain and simple. They even have ice cream for dessert.

We had an absolutely wonderful fancy anniversary/return from deployment dinner with expertly crafted cocktails and wonderful ambiance and delectable entrees. We were even treated with a glass of champagne for our first anniversary and return from deployment celebration. 10/10 would recommend.

Server (Aude) served drinks initially and was nowhere to be found when I later wanted coffee. The hostess found him and he brought the coffee, but not the cream. No refill offered. I got my own. Food was mostly good....Shrimp was excellent. Chicken potstickers sat in the container too long and couldn't even cut through them. Lamb was tough. Good salmon. Good prime rib. Enjoyed macarons and other desserts. Overall, brunch was very nice, although seemed overpriced $5-10.

The service and food were amazing. Celebrating a graduation, the staff made special dessert for the student. Classic and elegant atmosphere provided a wonderful experience for a special event

The first time I visited this restaurant was on March 03, 2024 with my mom. She came from Peru to visit me and I wanted to have an enjoyable Sunday lunch with her. I did a brief search on OpenTable about the options of available restaurants that day and decided to try the 1741 on The Terrace at Hotel Bethlehem. I was delighted with the place, the music, the view from the window that let us see Main Street, as well as an old building next to the valet parking of the hotel. We ordered Mushroom Ravioli as starter, and Pan Seared Salmon as entrees. My mom had a Brown Sugar Old Fashioned, which she considered it was the most tasty she had ever tried so far according to her palate, as she has a preference for sweet cocktails. The food was delicious. The location of the Hotel Bethlehem, the ambiance of the restaurant and the courtesy of the staff made me love the place. Two days ago my husband and I decided to have a spontaneous dinner date, and I did not hesitate to suggest him this place as first option! He loved the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and I loved the Pan Seared Halibut. We had the Sticky Toffee Pudding as dessert, which was perfectly made (not over-sweet, perfect consistence, nice touch of almonds on top with the butter toffee sauce, simply delicious)! We sat in the same table my mom and I did, and he did also enjoy the view. This restaurant is now in my top ranking list! I am definitely coming back!

Few customers here but service was still pretty slow. Not the servers fault - she looked to be assigned to work in other parts of the hotel at the same time as the restaurant. Ordered shrimp cocktail, lobster mac n cheese, cauliflower flatbread to start. Flatbread was ok but Mac n cheese was inedible with rubbery cold lobster on top. Entrees (orrichette. Halibut and filet) were fair, but nothing interesting. Sticky toffee dessert was good. Overall disappointing for the price point.

The ambience in the space are excellent brings you back to old world. The windows and views of the street and surrounding area are wonderful. They were running a little bit behind but that's to be expected. Our server seem to be a little annoyed, but nice, but still a little annoyed. There was no bread service, because they ran out of bread, which I have never heard of. Also, they ran out of two of their four desserts as well. Brought us out the wrong appetizer. Overall affair meal, but for an off night not a great value. Most likely will not be returning anytime soon the taproom could be a better alternative and value value.

Our experience was a huge disappointment! The only saving grace was that the food was delicious. The service ruined our experience. Sometimes there's a fine line between leisurely service and did they forget about us. I believe it was the latter. The server forgot to bring our wine. We had to remind him to bring it and that was after it took a little bit to find him. The bread service did come quickly but after that every course was delayed. I don't feel like this was a kitchen issue because the server would have easier followed up to say that our meal would be coming out soon. Instead the waiter was MIA during most of the evening. I wouldn't bother to eat there again.

Started with tuna tartare. Did not have a hint of a fish smell or taste which means it was fresh. My partner had Caesar salad to start and it was enormous. We followed this with an artic char and a chicken main course. Both rather filling and flavor was mild. For dessert I had a boston creme bundt cake and she had the flourless chocolate cake. Both very good. Service -- not over bearing but always watching. She got up to use the restroom and the waiter showed up with a lid/cover for her dinner so it would stay warm.
