Apollo Grill is a really popular restaurant in Bethlehem. We sometimes take people here for an upscale business dinner, but each time I go it is much more casual than I remember. There are so many tables in the restaurant, the menu is so very long, it's hard to tell what their specialties or strengths might be. Last time I ate in the restaurant, I ordered their ahi tuna entree. I thought it was all right but too sweet and slightly overcooked. We recently ordered takeout when I was craving vegetables. The pickup process was a bit difficult, but I really enjoyed the chilled asian udon noodle salad I ordered. I thought perhaps this could become a new go-to restaurant for us after all, but unfortunately the orecchiette pasta dish with chicken that my partner ordered made him sick. At this point, when we think about where to order from, he will say, "anywhere but Apollo Grill." I think if you have your expectations in order, and get the right thing off the menu, you're set. Otherwise it can be hit or miss.
I had lunch here and it game me food poisoning and I was in the bathroom all day the next day with stuff coming out both ends of my Virginaesque body. Maybe it was just a bad day for them or they deep down they knew I needed a body cleansing. The food was good though so definitely worth a trying sometime.
Food is always great. Drinks are great. My go-to for a local date night with the misses. Been there many times and never been disappointed.
I want to like this place because the food is good, but everything else about this place is absolutely terrible, which is why I will never go back. The drinks are abysmal (the quality is on par with local dive bars, but the prices are inline with fine dining), the service is horrible, and the ambiance is completely unappealing and not even as nice as most casual restaurants (that charge lower prices).I thought the solution would be to stick to takeout, but they found a way to ruin that too. If you can even place a takeout order (I have been turned away several times), it’s not worth the price because they charge an automatic gratuity (which is unbelievable given that there’s no service provided - I even have to go inside to get my food).
My favorite restaurant in the Bethlehem area. Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious. The wait staff is friendly. I love their new outdoor eating area.
The appetizers were very good! Wasn't in love with the crab/avocado one but the fried cauliflower and wings made up for it. My quinoa salad was not my favorite, but not terrible. Other entrees were reasonably good! However, I had to give this place 4 stars for the stellar service. Waiters checked up on us constantly and made sure we were well informed.
Had an amazing time here! I called ahead and they were able to cater to a birthday surprise flawlessly built into a reservation for the next day. I HEAVILY recommend the tuna tartare and crab mac and cheese.
My girlfriend took me here for my retirement and it was awesome ? The food is delicious and our waitress was great.
The atmosphere was trendy and fresh. The food was nicely plated and delish! Bartenders were very friendly and prompt with service.
Hands down one of my top 3 in Bethlehem. Many memories here and a great staff. The food is delicious and really a gem of a location. Love it here.
This place was amazing! The staff were so kind and attentive as well as knowledgeable on the dishes! The pastry chef is a QUEEN! I recommend the crème brûlée and banana dessert!
The food and service was AMAZING, couldn't have had a better experience :)
Apollo was great! I came here over 10 years ago and it really has kept the same vibe while updating their menu and decor to feel modern and progressive.Server was very attentive and knowledgeable, has all the dishes and even prices of the beverages memorized.Food was all delicious! Our party all ended up sharing plates because everything was so good we wanted everyone to try everything. The duck was a perfect medium rare! The lamb shank fell off the bone! The swordfish special was paired with an excellent mango salsa. Honestly nothing but yum.
All of our food was great and our waitress was friendly. I loved the quinoa salad (sounds boring but was so delicious) and my family loved their meals as well (They got a brisket sandwich and udon noodle salad.) As an appetizer, we got fried cauliflower in peanut sauce and it was great. Highly recommend stopping here.
One of my favorite places to grab a nice lunch with work or friends.Highly recommend the B.L.A.T. (bacon lettuce avocado tomato) or the short rib sandwich and house salad.
