Great location - paid parking right around the corner. Some challenge understanding our server, but overall food was excellent. We both had pho instead of a hot pot based on our palates being different. Very quick service and delicious food. My only pull back from 5 star is the menu explanations and the server trying to help us decide - was difficult to choose. Will definitely go again and try the hot pot next time!

We ordered: Seafood Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Spicy Stinky Tofu appetizer (yes, that is how it is described), and hot green tea.The short review:Mediocre ramen, really nothing stand out about it, and its highlight being the classic soft-boiled marinated egg halves. As far as the tofu - by “stinky” they mean manure (think Farm show). Drinks are served in plastic or disposable cups, which is disappointing. Funky atmosphere and clean bathroom.Overall: 3.5 / 5The long review:Having tried ramen at a multitude of places in the US on both coasts as well as in Europe, I was curious about this location because this place was so highly rated - an impressive 4.8/5 at the time of visiting with several hundred reviews. I cannot state how confused I am at this rating. While the ramen is certainly edible, the overall tastes are a bit bland, the broth unremarkable and a bit on the thin side, and the pork belly tough and tasteless rather than tender and delicious as it should be. To be fair, the noodles were at least of a good texture and the serving sizes are what one should expect for a main dish.As for the Spicy “stinky” tofu, well, it certainly is an experience. I think somewhere in the menu it says that the flavor is what makes it special despite its off-putting smell. But the flavor isn’t anything special - kind of spicy umami pork gravy. Unfortunately, the consistency of the tofu is tough and hard on the outside while being that typical unenjoyable old decaying sponge kind of texture on the inside. I don’t like wasting food, so between the two of us we stomached through it, but unless you’re in for something kind of novel in its bizarreness, I can’t really recommend it.The green tea was fine, it had some strong floral notes in it which isn’t what I expected, but they helped to freshen up the lingering taste of the tofu.Otherwise, the service was nice and prompt and the location clean. The decor is a mix of colors and themes, with fun space lamps in the ceiling. If ever in the area again I don’t think I’d go back if I’m being honest, because neither of us enjoyed it enough to do so. Also -1 point for using plastic cups for water and disposable cups for tea. We were dining in and this just seemed kind of like cheap (and wasteful) presentation next to the nicer non-disposable bowls for the soup.

Best hot pot in all of the area, maybe dare I say in all of PA. Good selection of hot pot to choose from among other menu items.Parking: Parking is right on the street, which on a busy day, there may barely be any

Nice atmosphere, friendly wait staff. The veggie ramen noodles and the veggie hot pot were very tasty and ample. I would have given this five stars, except for the use of plastic cups to serve water and the big plastic takeout container. I really dislike any use of throwaway plastics. Especially when it seems totally unnecessary as for serving the beverages.

Insanely good value. You pay $16 for a huge pile of delicious and healthy food and then leave with a full, warm belly. This is the kind of food you can eat every other day as it doesn’t sit heavily in the stomach. The chili oil is addictive: deeply savory and aromatic with a hint of Szechuan peppercorn. It barely has any heat. Huge recommend.

Amazing! I went with my friends for the first time, and the food was delicious! I love how it comes in a bowl with a little fire, so cool! Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be here again!

My favorite non traditional hot pot. It actually is probably my favorite hot pot in general. Broth is so flavorful and the dishes are loaded with a bunch of different ingredients. I definitely get in my veggies and protein here. Wish they were closer as I would seriously become a regular here. I have tried plenty of broths here - from tom yum to cheese milk, to seafood, curry, beef, and the stinky Tofu. My favorite is definitely the cheese milk broth. Get it with some spice and I promise you, you won't be disappointed. It may sound weird, but it is surely delicious. Each pot can definitely feed 2.

So flavorful! My favorite non-traditional hot pot ever!! Although this place is over an hour drive from Philly, I would definitely make my way out here again. Favorite broth would definitely be the cheese milk broth. It's so flavorful and everything they put inside is delicious. The pot is good enough for 2-3 and you can add additional items on the side. They also have really good bubble teas too, so if you are craving one, this place does it right. You don't need to make a special trip elsewhere. Service is great. They're very patient and nice.

If you're reading this and considering whether or not to eat at Hi Pot--please, just do it. If you're passing through like we were: stop, breathe, and take a moment to be happy. If you're lucky enough to live a short distance away from from this place, make it a part of your life--a regular spot, a place to gather with friends, a place to take people who might (and/or have) become important to you. We got lunch midway through a drive from western Mass. to West Virginia, two kids (6 and 2) in tow. It's not right on I-78, but also not too far off of it. Street parking was easy. The interior isn't particularly full of character, but it's spacious and comfortable. Seating is mostly (entirely?) booths. We ordered pork ramen and shrimp dumplings for the kids and spicy stinky tofu, spicy cumin lamb, and Taiwanese Supreme Spicy hot pot for the adults. It was all fantastic. Our six-year old housed his ramen; our two-year old not only ate the dumplings but also tucked into the cumin lamb and parts of the hot pot. The cumin lamb was excellent. The spicy stinky tofu was better than excellent, full of intense, fascinating flavors that you don't encounter everyday. The hot pot not only tasted amazing but was also fun to share as a family. (Glad we went for the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy option, though the others looked great, too.) Overall, the food is 5/5 by NYC standards. As if that weren't enough, the people who work at and run this place are just completely awesome. Service was great, and they were incredibly kind to the kids. Just go; have a blast enjoying fantastic food while supporting and getting to know some genuinely good people.
