Make sure you have the shrimp basket. it is amazing. the breading is fabulous... not the standard cakey stuff you get every where else. IT IS AMAZING. My fiance and I have deemed it "our" place. AND YOU HAVE TO TRY THE COCONUT CAKE! FANTASTIC!!Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome.

Some of the best fish and chips I have had. It was real fish, not pressed shavings. Staff was very nice and the fish was all you can eat. They had it out quickly on reorder also. We got take out from Rod’s today for lunch and I have zero complaints. I got the chicken finger basket that came with 2 sides, I chose onion rings and the baked beans. The chicken was crispy and delicious and the portion was way more than I could finish. The onions rings were battered perfectly and the baked beans tasted homemade. I will definitely get it again!

The food is very good. I had the Ham Steak and Mashed Potatoes again, about $15.00. The Ham Steak is HUGE. It covers the whole platter ( not a plate, but a platter ), and it is NOT thin. The Mashed Potatoes come it a separate rather large bowl. If you order this you better be a hungry big eater or be prepared to take some home. The other food we have had has also been very good. They have AYCE Fried Fish every day ( they are not open Tuesdays ). The waitress was very nice and very attentive. As for the Atmosphere, it's a diner, but very nice, clean and well decorated ( it just opened this year and was completely remodeled ).
