We do love the locally owned places! Have enjoyed Angelo's for many years. For me, the pizza, for others it's their salads or stuffed shells ... or Stromboli's! Stromboli we share and change up the ingredients. Eat in or take out, fresh and yummy! And hopefully leftovers for lunch the next day.

There's only one thing this restaurant needs, a barf bag. I don't know what it is that people see in this place, but my husband and I have never had a worse meal in our lives. If I hadn't been so so hungry and hadn't already sent the food back once (they brought me chicken instead of beef), I would have sent back my so-call cheesesteak a 2nd time. Let me talk about the "bread" which most closely resembled a dried out hard pancake. It even looked like the bottom of a pancake on it's one side. I despise mayo on my cheesesteak and there was no mention of it in the menu description and there was gobs of it in my sandwich - was there any cheese, or was it all mayo, couldn't tell. Totally flavorless itty bitty meat portion, lettuce shredded like dental floss - the slice of tomato was the only thing acceptable. A bologna sandwich on white bread would have been preferable to this mutant concoction. Just writing this is making me nauseous. My husband ordered the soup and salad combo. He left behind the "roll", aka hard pancake, that came with it. The chicken and dumplings soup tasted totally canned. I can say that his salad was adequate. I won't waste much space here about the service - at times it was over-the-top cheerful, and other times we wondered where the staff was. Please be careful if you decide to eat here and make sure you've got a plastic bag handy.

Delicious! Salads are fantastic and the pizza is great. Only thing I haven't loved is the meatball sub. Everything else has been stellarKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly

My husband and I have been going here for years! We love Angelo's! It is a family owned restaurant, clean facility, friendly staff and delicious food! We appreciate the attentiveness of the staff (Tina especially) even when they are very busy. A must stop in the State College area!
