Seafood Restaurants near Boalsburg

“This was our first time here. We came for our 15 year wedding anniversary. I didnt really know what to expect walking in here because I only took a quick look at the menu but all I can say is this is my new favorite restaurant in the area. To start off the evening we shared the Crab and Artichoke Dip. We both really enjoyed it. Rich , creamy, and exploding with flavor. For dinner I had a hard time deciding between a steak or seafood. I could have gotten the surf and turf but the Steampot was calling my name. It did not disapoint. It was amazing and took me back to eating steampots on the Carolina coast. My wife had a spcial. It was a horseradish encrusted steak. We shared our dinners with one another and that steak was amazing. I hope they are running that special next time we eat there. Dessert... well we went a few days after Halloween so we had our fill of sugar and skipped it but the Tiramisu looked delicious. Thanks for making our special night that more special.“

“This is not a restaurant. The owners have tried to get the label changed on Google but haven’t been successful. However, they sell everything you would need to make your own seafood feast at home. The red shrimp they sold me were the best shrimp I’ve ever eaten. I don’t think you’ll find better seafood in our area. Keep up the great work!“

“Formerly PJ Harrigans. New menu looks good however some favorites are missing from the old menu. Happy hours is from 4 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday through Friday and is one of the best in State Colege. This restaurant is far enough away from downtown State College so not as many Penn State students and more locals and hotel guests. Bar service is relatively fast and servers are attentive. This is a good place to watch most sporting events that are on the local cable. There is usually plenty of parking but depending on events at the Ramada it can get crowded and you might have to park on the street.“

“We were visiting the area from Western Mass to attend my son’s MBA graduation at Penn State. After the ceremony, we were looking for a place to celebrate with a nice dinner…. We spotted Hoss’s and decided to give it a try. Everything was outstanding! The food, the service, the salad bar, the atmosphere, and the reasonable prices were all perfect for our special day…. “This is a favorite of the locals. The seating area is tight - very tight in fact - but the food is so, so worth it! I'm gluten sensitive and their gf pizza is amazing. In a town where very few restaurants have a wait, you can expect one here. And parking can be a bit tricky - there is some parking in the lower lot of the motel that you can use, yet even with that, you may find parking a challenge during their busy times.“
