Millie's ice cream is super flavorful, rich, and delicious. Lots of fun flavors. The PGH (peach, goat cheese, honey, cornbread) tastes and feels like Cap'n Crunch milk. They can do full scoops or half scoops if you want more than one flavor without have a ton of each. Everyone working is always friendly.Dietary restrictions: The non-dairy items all use coconut milk.Notify them if you have an allergy, and they'll get out clean scoops and clean ice cream.Kid-friendliness: You have the option to try samples of different flavors, so no worries about kids getting a flavor they hate.Plus, it's ice cream. Usually a good thing in any kid's book.
Great ice cream and place for a kids birthday party! We frequent Millie's and ended up having our 4-year-old's birthday party here after she requested an ice cream birthday. An awesome experience -- easy to book, Millie's did invitation for us, had games and activities set up, allowed us to bring in our own food for lunch, and we had the place to ourselves for an hour before they opened on a Sunday. All the guests and the birthday girl truly enjoyed it!

Cute place, friendly staff - opinions do very, I get it. That said, this is some overpriced, tasteless ice cream. "Clean" or not, it lacks flavor and has a strange consistency. Seriously, it was awful.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a store in Pittsburgh.We walked in at 8:48 pm on a Saturday, thinking it closed at 9:00 pm according to Google. When we asked the employee, who was busy mopping, if the store was closing soon, she grudgingly said it would close in 10 minutes. Then, when we asked if we could still place an order, she sighed loudly and reluctantly went back to the counter. Throughout the entire ordering process, she refused to answer our questions, not willing to look at us, and pretended not to understand English. It felt like she wanted us to leave the store as quickly as possible.Luckily, we weren't the last customers to arrive before closing time. Another group came in, and the lady started sighing and shaking her head repeatedly. After we finished our ice cream, she threw the scoop into the sink loudly, embarrassing both us and the other customers. It was like she was saying we shouldn't have even bothered coming in before the official closing time.Honestly, I would be completely okay if she had told us right from the start that we were too late and the counter was closed, so we could understand and leave. However, it's completely unacceptable that she agreed to take our order and then showed a bad attitude towards us.If she want to leave at 9:00 pm, she should just close the door at 8:30 pm to finish their cleaning, instead of treating customers with such disrespect.

Millie's catered our wedding and did an amazing job. We worked with Aimee and she was very responsive, professional, and friendly. We picked 3 flavors which came with a variety of toppings. We were worried because we had booked another ice cream vendor who happened to not work out, thankfully Millie's saved the day just a few months before our wedding. Very happy all around!

The coffee ice cream is disappointing. Millie's used fro have a Vietnamese Coffee ice cream that was the best. My wife got peanut butter chip, very little flavor. We won't be back. We used to go to the one in Shadyside it's no longer worth the trip. It's on par with Brusters. Nothing special Tellamook grocery store ice cream is so much better
