“If your in the mood for authentic Mexican food this is your place. Being from California I've sen my share of Mexican restaurants lol and this place is just as good. The fish tacos were outstanding and so were the carnitas. They use white corn flautas not flour which is great for gluten free people. The street corn was amazing as well. If your in the mood for some good Mexican food head here. Also it's a great atmosphere to sit and eat. “Food is pretty good! We ordered Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and pork lo mein with pork egg rolls. I did order 4 egg rolls and was only given one but only charged for one so there was some miscommunication there, but the food otherwise is good! The Mongolian beef over some rice is tasty and the pork lo mein is hittin’! Tastes very fresh. The orange chicken was a little chewy and over done but the flavors are there. Been ordering here since the previous owners and haven’t been thrilled by the new owners until recently. The quality and flavor of the food has definitely gone up. I recommend trying them over star garden (the other local Chinese spot in brodheadsville) who’s food has gone down in quality and freshness to me.“

“My family decided to visit Caribbean Deck Cafe while we were vacationing in the Poconos. From the moment we walked in, Shaine treated us like family! He allowed us to taste test a few dishes and we enjoyed talking to him about all kinds of things. As for the food itself, it felt like we were at Shaine's backyard barbeque! He kept piling it on and the portions were huge! We tried the curry goat (my favorite, though everything could arguably be considered a favorite!), the oxtail, stew chicken, and jerk chicken - each dish was full of flavor, hot/fresh, and oh so satisfying! The curry goat was seasoned to perfection, the oxtail was meaty and tasty, the stew chicken meat was fall-off-the-bone (see photo), and the spicy homemade jerk sauce was out of this world! Anytime we go to the Poconos, we plan on being back here for sure. The sides consisted of plantains and cabbage, and both paired very well with each meal. Rice options are rice and peas or white rice (rice was delicious). We dined in and appreciated the large plates and overall attentive experience. After our meal, Shaine hooked us up with sweet potato pudding and Hennessy cake on the house! And I must say: Both hit the spot! The sweet potato pudding was like a slice of sweet potato pie with pudding consistency - it was hot and sweet, and it was exactly what I needed after the amazing meal. Hennessy cake gave me rum cake vibes (note: I don't drink alcohol and am far from a connoisseur) and it was also great! We want to thank Shaine for really going above and beyond to take care of our family. The Poconos community is blessed to have him and Caribbean Deck Cafe! Gave us a great tip on the best sauce, the spicy Hawaiian sauce was amazing! I think it beat out my love of campfire sauce!!! We stayed in the spa in the hotel until late, when we left everything was closed or closing. We called Ichiban and a nice lady said if we got there before 10pm we could get take out. We got there ordered our food and the same lady that answered the phone took our orders, she was nice and friendly, gave us advice on things/places to go.
