“I have been to sushi restaurants all over America, in some of the wealthiest places to live, vacation, and dine. There used to be some OK places in greater Harrisburg that were passable, then practically all went to pot -- or else my standards increased. I tried a new place in Camp Hill tonight that looked great, with great reviews. Uggh--I will never go back. Sushi Express, on the other hand, NEVER disappoints. Don't be fooled by the generic name, or because this is a kiosk-type restaurant that is an island in a mall, or because it's in the food court. I have eaten here 100+ times. This is, hands-down, the place I look most forward to to get sushi. Fancy? No. Elegant? No. Crazy wild rolls that dress like peacocks, but are all sauce and circumstance, no substance? No. This is for serious sushi eaters who want fish that is the freshest every time, is always great tasting, and with an experienced, personable owner who is funny and you like to see. The seating at the bar is welcoming and I like it a lot, but the food is what makes it. --Jeff Bridgman“
“Absolutely delicious food - great service! My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and had all veggie sushi. It was all wonderful. While we were there, a special needs man walked in and proceeded to chat with the server. She was so kind and chatted with him patiently, answering every single question he had (which was a lot!). It was wonderful to witness. We will definitely stop in again!“
“Came here after getting shafted at mikado and im pretty sure we made the right decision. As soon as we walked in we were seated and drink order taken, the server was extremely friendly and he was wearing a cat (heavy equipment) shirt. He took our sushi order which was fairly large and our sushi came out fairly quickly and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and skip the b.s. at mikado, grab yourself some beer or wine and head to sapporo east! It’s b.y.o.b“
“Excellent accommodating service, masterfully prepared sushi, and a wonderful atmosphere at this location. Ordered a couple rolls from their incredible selection , which is clearly described on the menu. An order of crab balls and some complimentary black bass and rice to try. All were amazing! Thank you to the kind waitress, the sushi chef, and the owner for an incredible lunch experience.“
“Sat at the sushi bar for Valentine's Day. Very friendly and warm staff. Everyone works together. Sushi and other food item portions are large, and super fresh (seaweed salad and kani single orders were more than enough for 2 of us). Amazing white tuna sashimi. Very reasonably priced. Best sushi I have had in this area, by far. We will become regulars. Bonus- BYOB. Can't wait to go back!“
“Very good sushi rolls and hibachi. Many vegetable varieties with the hibachi. Steak was a little bland and sort of tough. But lots of thick steak and chicken. Off the beaten path but worth the trip for the food. Bathrooms and atmosphere 2-3 star. Sushi bar and food prep area looked a little rough.“
“Hidden GemStopped in while traveling through the area. It was very clean and not very busy but it was a Wednesday night. Unlike a lot of hibachi restaurants I've been to, they were willing to do the hibachi cooking with just the two of us at a grill/table after only waiting a short period for more guests. However we opted to move over to one of the non hibachi tables so we weren't tying up a whole grill just for the two of us. The service was prompt and very friendly. Multiple people checked on us throughout the dining experience. The food tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. The server told us that they are usually slower during the off season and most of their patrons are traveling through the area which is a shame because of how great the food and service was. Hopefully this review helps generate more business for them so they'll still be around the next time I'm in the area. We ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi plates and egg rolls. The egg rolls came with a dipping sauce that was slightly sweet/slightly hot that complimented the egg rolls well.“
“This restaurant is very cozy, the staff is kind and polite. I can’t describe how amazing the food is . Is a great experience and prices are not bad at all. Best thing they have probable is Ramen but sushi is also really good. I definitely recommend going to visit this place. Is small but worths it .“
“Excellent service with a waiter that knew the right time to come over and ask if we'd like to order more. The food was great, I'd especially recommend getting the volcano roll and the dragon roll, two of my personal favorites. Personally, I went during lunchtime and I think their lunchtime menu is great (for $15.99), you get a more limited selection of rolls and dishes from the dinner menu. You still have plenty of options. The only thing I didn't like was the Philly roll. Everything else was great from speed, to food, to the atmosphere. Give it a try.“
“After 2 visits to the remodeled Freshido, I feel like I have found a hidden treasure! I’m completely over all of the National chain restaurants on the pike that are over crowded and not well managed. When you walk into Freshido Mechanicsburg it is quiet with pleasant music playing. My food was delicious and the service was prompt but relaxed. I didn’t feel rushed at all. The menu variety is good and I can’t wait to try more dishes.“
“Hibachi was a big hit for the 8 of us. We ordered several different types of Sushi all were delicious. Very busy but the staff did a great job. All of us ordered something different and were pleased with them all. Besides fried rice, each portion received noodles as well.Kid-friendliness: Kids portion of HibachiWheelchair accessibility: Has accessibility to main dining room. Hibachi area is a taller table.“
“Came here for a date on St. Patty's Day weekend. It was madness outside, but the moment we stepped foot in here, it was like we were in a different world- we couldn't hear the crowds and the chaos, there was soft music, and the atmosphere was just a lovely pocket of peace. The food was absolutely delicious, best chicken teriyaki I remember having, and the prices were very reasonable (we were surprised at how low the bill was!). Another plus, it wasn't busy, so the food came out really quickly. The service was attentive to needs like refills and taking plates, but far from intrusive and gave us plenty of space to hang out and talk. Would absolutely come here again!!“
“Service was a little slow, but it seemed like they were unusually busy for a Thursday night. There were definitely multiple large groups.Parking: Parking is at the rear of the building, but that is where the main entrance is, as well. There is more than enough parking for the size of the building.“
“Just got sushi, but it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was really great, quiet enough to be relaxing but not awkward. Very cozy in a way. Great experience! A little pricey but well worth it.Vegetarian options: I've never seen so many vegetarian rolls available on a menu in central PA.“
“What an appropriate name "The Art of Sushi"!I've had sushi not only in local places, but around the entire country and have enjoyed some really good sushi. Takashi in in Camp Hill is by far the best I've ever eaten. I thought it would be safe to start out on our first visit to try the Sushi and Sashimi Combo Platter, it was amazingly fresh Sushi Grade fish and seafood. The Sushi rice was delicious. We started out with Gyoza dumplings and they were again the best I've ever had! Please come in and give this hidden gem a try you won't be disappointed. Very limited seating, so call ahead for a reservation. The staff and owners are quite pleasant and very friendly. Prices are also very reasonable...They have BYOB, so bring in your favorite wine or Saki. Thank you Takashi for a wonderful Birthday dinner!“
