My 2 star rating has nothing to do with the food. It's very good. I went there today for the 3rd time and was informed after I walked through an open door with a big banner outside that said, OPEN, that they weren't open until 11:30. I'm baffled because their hours are listed as 7 am -5 pm on Friday. Also, totally baffled because the other 2 times I was there I got there the same time as I did today and was served with no problems.Sorry, but I won't be going back.

I read the other review on Yelp and decided I need to check this place out. I went with two of my coworkers and none of us were disappointed! The food is Amazing! We tried an array of different chicken (baked, BBQ, and Fried) and side dishes combinations. The price is extremely reasonable! $12 for a big to-go box of 3-4 pieces of chicken, 2 home made sides, corn bread, and the "yak" drink. Lol! Don't let the name fool you, the "yak" is delicious It's currently a hole in the wall, if you blink you'll drive past it. It is located in the plaza of the McCarren building supply but along the Louther street side under a set of old metal stairs. There is a small hand written sign on the edge of the building and an "open" flag over the door. The only downside is there are no tables to eat at yet. The space is plenty big enough and I assume a dine-in option will eventually be available. This business is only 5-6 months old and I expect it to become a Carlisle Staple in the future! I look forward to introducing everyone I know to this place, maybe I'll see you there :)!

Run, don't walk here!!! This is absolutely THE tastiest spot in town. I've been longing for food this delicious, and the fact it's so affordable and hidden away boggles my mind. Earl and JP are awesome people and I can't wait to come back and eat here again. A lunch platter with an entree and two sides and cornbread is only $8, and I got BBQ chicken, cornbread, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. JP graciously had me try a fried chicken wing, candied yams, and their special juice drink, all of which are absolutely delicious. The wing was perfectly fried and meaty, one of the best I've had. My southern ancestors within rejoice with each bite! Thank you Earl and JP! Love is food and food is love and wow are these guys showing us the love!!!
