This was my first time eating at Yak and Yeti but it won't be my last. The service was outstanding, very knowledgable and friendly. I have a gluten allergy and I had a lot of questions. They were very patient with me and made some great recommendations. The food was AMAZING and very reasonably priced.

This is my favorite restaurant in Carlisle! The owner is so kind and the food is incredible! The ema datshi (spicy cheesey noodles) and momos are so good and got me and my friends through college. The mango lassi and cheesecakes (which is vegan!) were also so good. On the weekends they would sometimes do buffets which was a great way to try everything. Overall, try this place! Whenever I come back to Carlisle, I always stop back here.

Charming, friendly, restaurant in downtown Carlisle. Our server, Dee, was helpful with the menu and with local information. The chugs mago dessert was very special!Dietary restrictions: GF options identified on menu.

The food was good but the portions were absolutely ridiculous. At about $16 a serving I would expect at least a little more food. I ordered 3 orders of bread thinking there must be 2 pieces in an order for the price, but no I receive 3 pieces for $9. Ridiculous. My curry was put in a cardboard box so most of my juices had already leaked out by the time I got home, also soaking everything else in the bag. The "two orders" of rice fit in one box that wasn't even all the way full. The food tasted good but for $50 I expected to be able to take more than 5 bites. Probably won't be back.

We discovered this restaurant a couple months ago and were blown away. Our first trip was for the buffet, and we've been back two more times, once again for the buffet, and once to order off the menu. The atmosphere, service, and food are all exceptional. This is simply some of the absolute best South Asian food we've ever had. The buffet is not to be missed (but only happens a few times a month, so check them out on Facebook). Everything is hot, fresh, and outstandingly delicious. They have a multitude of vegan and vegetarian dishes (even on the buffet). I also have to mention that the restrooms are immaculate, which is always an important indicator of owners/managers who truly care.

This was our first time trying this restaurant and were met by another couple. Going in, not knowing what to expect, I was a bit underwhelmed. The atmosphere was 'eh'; punctured, old booths, and there was only one shared restroom that was in need of a cleaning and out of paper towels with no other way to dry my hands. The food was good. That's really all I can say to describe it. I ordered the veggie Momos and cauliflower datsi. The dumplings were delicious as my appetizer, so I was excited for my meal. That was the underwhelming part...yes, it is cauliflower with cheese sauce but, it tasted the same as when I make it at home. I was hoping for exotic flavors or a bit of heat from the peppers, but it was just- 'good'.The service was excellent! Our server was prompt and extremely kind. It is a smaller restaurant so you won't have to wait long and the server is knowledgeable to answer any questions about the menu. She was even willing to give suggestions based on what the rest of my party wanted. Please don't take this as a bad review. It was good, it just didn't meet the expectations I had in my mind. I'm glad we went, but it will not fall on our list of go-to restaurants.

Delicious. We visit Carlisle on weekends and I’ll go here twice in a day. I find myself craving the food on the off weeks. It’s so good! The dried pork belly was delicious, love the Japanese pumpkin dish. Momos are great. Haven’t had a dish yet that I didn’t love. My 10 month old baby also loves the filling in the momos, the Japanese pumpkin and the Nepali fries it’s all mild enough for her but also very flavorful so I love that I can introduce her to new spices

Excellent. The food is prepared with love and great ingredients. Many options for people with dietary restrictions, and the flavors are worth savoring.Vegetarian options: The options are clear and the ability to pair items makes it easy. Also, the individual items were served on their own plates and dishes so you decide what to mix, and what to skip.

Really good find in Carlisle. Small footprint, but the food was really good, with great friendly service. When we went on a Saturday after the football game, they were serving buffet style which was great given that we didn't know what to order. My favorite was the curry shrimp. So many good dishes to try. Wish we had this place near us.

I'm so glad we went there for dinner! We will definitely add this to our weekly rotation. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. It is a must try if you want something other than diner food in Carlisle. Tons of fabulous flavor and the vibe is nothing less than positive from their staff. AMAZING!

Amazing attentive service. Food is made to order, tasty and fresh. Our server was generous in taking the time to discuss the menu and make recommendations. Unique atmosphere and fun dining experience! BYOB - bottle opener and wine glasses are provided. While the names of the dishes escapes me, they were all vegetarian and delicious!
