“Al's is my first ice cream shop since moving to Pittsburgh and no reason to go anywhere else! We started off with a couple of great, juicy hotdogs! My sundae was so large, I guess because of it's deliciousness it was easy to finish! The flavor and the portion sure beats where I came from. “While I don't often eat fried food, I found this restaurant while exploring Clariton. It's a little hard to spot. The menu looked interesting so I gave it a try. I ordered the shrimp dinner, but wish that I had noticed that only some dinners come with coleslaw. The shrimp were delicious, however. Be sure to order ahead, as the restaurant is popular, and does not really cater to walk-ins, as their menu is only available online. I will definitely be back.”

“For those who enjoy Indian food, I highly recommend Bombay to Burgh. This "home cooking" restaurant came highly recommended by our neighbors as well as @alexeatstoomuch. It's a small place in Swissvale, just a few minutes off the Parkway East. We opted for the Sunday buffet. Plenty of selections and a VERY reasonable price! The food was excellent!”

“My husband and I went for a relaxing meal and this place was amazing! It’s beautiful inside, seats are plush and comfy, and we never felt rushed. In fact we told our waiter Eric we wanted to take our time and he said I got you. We enjoyed each course (we did them all) and had time to rest between the next one. The food was outstanding! We had the small Italian board to start, fantastic cheese and meat. We each got 2 different salads to try them. The beggars pockets were so good, definitely our favorite. The caprese type salad was very good too. The main course was savory and delicious! I had the garlic feta shrimp with homemade gnocci (loved!), my husband had the tortolinni with scallops and he loved it. We split the cherry torte dessert and that was an awesome ending. The wine was very good as well as the coffee. We will be going back for sure!”

“We’ve dined twice at Alla Famiglia and it’s the best Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Their portions are massive and we’ve always had enough for lunch the next day. The three things we recommend are the grilled octopus appetizer, any of the veal chops, and the seafood diavola. You need to see the size of the veal chops in person as pictures online don’t do it justice. We thought the Cavatappi tasted better than the Cacio pasta, even though Cacio costs more. Overall it’s pricey for Pittsburgh, but the quality is superior and you get enough for lunch the next day. Another tip is get a bottle of their spicy olive oil on the way out. I add it to many dishes for an extra kick and it makes for a great present.”

Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. “Best areas I've had from a restaurant! Had a Venezuelan roommate in college and have been friends for 20 yrs. Eaten many areas at restaurants and homemade and these were perfect!I got this nice juicy arepa with a wonderfully crispy corn flour shell and could not have been more pleased with it. Excellent blend of ingredients! I got the pabellon with seasoned shredded chicken, plantain, black beans, and quest fresco, smeared both sauces on and got into the messy traditional Venezuelan hand "taco". With some minor effort it didn't completely fall apart, just a few bites of ingredients fell out. That means they didn't skimp on the food but also didn't overload it to bursting. Perfect! Paired it with a classic Venezuelan Malta barley soda. Yum!The decor here is exactly how it should be you guys are doing an awesome job and 4.8 stars right now is Ballin! ROCK ON, Papelon!Don't mind the honey in the photo, I got it down the street from the Squirrel Hill Market. My wife loves the dark buckwheat honey and the kids will be delighted with the honey sticks.”
