Once identified as a best restaurant in the Philadelphia area by Philadelphia Magazine. We started going there several times a year and still do. This time, the miso and pasta based appetizer, short ribs and shrimp dish were outstanding. For us, Blackfish remains one of the best in the Philadelphia area. Love the beignets!
The tasting of Gilt-head Sea Bream we had last night was a reminder of why Blackfish is still an essential restaurant for us. We visit as often as we can, and it's worth the drive. Chef Roman is a gifted chef who knows how to showcase the ingredients he chooses every week for his tasting menus. This restaurant is also an outstanding value for the quality. Once again, another wonderful meal! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad which I had not tried before. Glad I did! Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent.
