We were in town staying at Kalahari. Found this place on google and reviews were pretty good. Tried it and loved it! Food was amazing and all of the staff were great! Portions were huge, none of us finished our plates. Cinnamon bread is to die for! Wish we had room for pizza, would’ve loved to try it. This is a must if you are ever in the area!

If you know, you know.. If not, Kay's is a diamond in the rough. I was blown away by the friendly service and the "little extras" you just don't see much of these days.. The wife and I love to try new places while also supporting Mom & Pop type businesses whenever possible. The only thing we knew going in was that you get a giant cinnamon bun in your bread basket and portions aren't small.. Upon ordering out came the fluffiest warm house made roll you'll ever have! Sitting next to it was a giant cinnamon bun. They also put a tomato cucumber salad on the table.. It was delicious as well. I'm not much for eating dessert first, but after one taste of the cinnamon bun you'll gladly ruin your dinner. My wife ordered the ziti. It came with a "bowl" of soup, not a Dixie cup size scant tasting like you'd expect.. Her ziti was enough to feed a family of four. I had the large stromboli with the intention of taking most of it home.. I took most of it home. All the food was delish! Warning! When you pay your bill you are surrounded by all their homemade desserts.. Plan on taking some home! You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!

Kay's has a nostalgic atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door because it dates back to the 1920's. Our crab bisque hit the spot along with the hot round loaf of bread. The pasta is homemade. We enjoyed lasagna, stuffed eggplant, and the Margherita pizza. We also took home a box of Italian cookies. Next time I'll buy a jam, a candle and a set of earrings as gifts.

Everything about our experience at Kay's was wonderful. Our server was super nice and personable. The food was delicious...we started out with the best garlic knots I've ever had. I got the steak and cheese stromboli as my entree, which fed me for multiple days after and was fantastic! My kids got meals off of the kids' menu...my daughter had the ravioli and my son had a burger. They were both so happy with their food and there was plenty of it! I promised them Kay's famous cinnamon rolls for dessert...I had only heard about how amazing they are, but I swear these were the most epic cinnamon rolls I've ever eaten. I'm pretty sure they use marscapone in the icing, which made them that much more decadent and delicious. Can't wait to go back with my kiddos and have more amazing food!

I was treated terribly by wait staff when I asked to move to another table due to feeling very claustrophobic and like I was going to have a panic attack in a very small 2 person table. There were 2 other larger tables open, I was told that I had to go and wait behind the other people, there were almost 7 or more waiting. Shameful for them to treat a patron who has been going there for over 30 years like this, never again.
