A lovely historical gem right there on US Route 15, just south of Harrisburg. I’ve driven past it dozens of times and never thought to stop until that day. We arrived a half hour prior to closing but were very graciously offered an abbreviated version of the tour. The site includes a home-tavern and several outbuildings. We visited for the speakeasy experience this past weekend and had an absolute blast. We were a group of four and didn’t know what to expect. It was so well organized, a kind and welcoming crowd, and very well staffed. There were puzzles and riddles, and lots of things to see and do to keep people engaged in between the beverage tastings. I went there on a rainy day so it was a bit muddy. The history and the buildings are amazing. The people in their 'period' clothing are very informative and friendly. I did not stay long and plan to go back and to take a walking tour. I expect it to be very good, but I will get back to you on that. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because I spent $10 on the bread that they just backed in their period brick oven and it was bad.
