I recently moved to this town, the Doyle hotel is the exact kind of place I look for anywhere I go.
the atmosphere and crowd are very relaxed and welcoming. the owner, Don and his son Donald, are very personable and warm at heart.

We stopped in on a Sunday early evening for live music and had a couple drinks, no food. The building is historic which makes this a really cool spot. There was a banquet room and bar on the second floor with a wraparound balcony that was accessible. The upstairs was closed for service at the time we visited. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. The bartender was personable and attentive. They did just also open a coffee shop with limited hours and I will be back to check that out. Nice stop for beverage or quick bite to eat if you are hiking Hawk Rock or the AT and a place to sleep if you need.

We stopped into the coffee shop this AM. Coffee was delicious and we had breakfast and it was so good!! ☺️ Sarah is a wonderful, cheerful person to be around ❤️

I travel quite a bit for a living, this place is a living historic landmark with a wonderful pub and restaurant. The hospitality is spot on, in fact quite above par in my opinion. The room takes you back in time, I felt like I was traveling in the early 1900's but with a flat screen TV and comfortable mattress haha. The place had everything I needed, just remember your ear plugs (as I did) for the railway that passes by across town, easy remedy for a great nights sleep.
Pretty awesome history, friendly vibe, and extremely attentive wait staff. I'd definitely recommend swinging in here for a bite, beer, and/or bed.

We got stranded in a snow storm and had to find emergency shelter for the night. The staff at the Doyle hotel went above and beyond for us. Cannot thank them enough!

Always love this place. Great food. Love the atmosphere and employees. We ordered 2 cheese steaks yesterday and woke up getting sick and upset stomach. Both of us ended up with food poisoning ?12/23/23- wanted to try again and ordered a cheese steak for dinner at like 4 pm and just went to go eat it. I ordered it with jalapenos and got bell peppers ? not thrilled. I don't know why last time we ended up with olives on it(called that in immediately when we noticed that last time)and this time we get bell peppers. Not really keen on coming back.
