Food was excellent and attractively presented. Drinks were generous if just a bit overpriced. Pet peeve on staff training. Servers reached in across to pace items and plates were cleared before everyone at the table was finished. Servers though were courteous and efficient.

This was our second wine dinner at Sidney's. Their hospitality and food is some of the best in the area. A visit to Sidney's is a treat that you deserve. Take a moment to enjoy a real treasure in our community.

This was our second time here. The first time that we went, we loved all the food this time the food seemed more bland and not cohesive we wondered if someone else was cooking. A very young male server waited on us both times, and he acted very superior both times. We wrote it off as he was young, but it seems to be his general serving demeanor. It is very off-putting. He should not be in a service industry or he should be retrained to not act so arrogant. The place is a nice restaurant and I love the original art on the walls, but he was acting like we were at a Michelin rated restaurant. We were really hoping that this place would be a consistent restaurant for us, but, for the price, I would expect much nicer service. Each time we go in, they try to sit in the bar even when we have reservations. We have difficulty hearing in loud places so the dining room is a bit less loud. I understand fine dining. Our family has a fine dining restaurant as well as I've been in the high end restaurant industry most of my life. The food was good. It was much better the first time which led us to believe there was someone else in the kitchen. Some options were bland and some were spot on. The wine list is solid. The bartender listened to how we wanted our cocktails made. The crème brûlée was burnt. Maybe we will be back again. Honestly I hate being talked down to by a young server so it is doubtful. For a total bill of almost $300 for two people (includes cocktails, apps, wine and entrees) I really would like to have an enjoyable evening. Unfortunately the weird service made it impossible. I always leave at least 20% gratuity because I understand this is how most servers are paid. I probably should have left less because honestly the server really put a weird spin on the evening. If we would have had another server we most likely would have been back; however, he seems to be the only server there. Maybe we should have sat in the bar after all!

One of the better restaurants in the hanoer area. Exceptional food and service. Between 3 we had a good variety of items off the menu. Everything was delicious.

This is our fourth time at Sidney. Each time has been unique and fantastic! I had the monkfish upon recommendation of our server (who was awesome) and it was beyond my expectations. I'm just sorry we don't live closer. We will be back the next time we are in Gettysburg!

Truly great restaurant. The food would be five stars from me in New York just the same. Everything was excellent, cannot rate this highly

My husbands review: Wine list: Nice and extensive, however no sparkling sweet wine offered. The only Moscato wine offered was from Spain instead of Italy, and it was too dry. Ambiance: Atmosphere perfect setting of time period tavern. The artwork did not match the time period mood. Different nations theme did not work for me. The background music was nice, yet the sound level of all the guests was a little moderate. Menu: Chef seems very talented, yet his/her menu was all over the place. The mix of food was so heightened that my date could not find a single dish that did not contain something she does not eat. WE did review the menu online before making reservations. Unfortunately the online menu was different than the actual menu at the restaurant. Simpler dishes could be offered for the less palleted. Service: The waitress seemed new. She forgot her pen. She forgot our bread. When asked if something could be held out of a dish she said that it would be too complicated, and to order something else. Other then that, she has a very nice personality. Over All: I commend them for trying to bring five star dining to the area, when there is literally none, however for the price, some fine tuning needs to be done, before I would dine there again.

Sidney is the best restaurant in the area. It's my go to restaurant for any major family event. The food is phenomenal and their drink menu always impresses us with new variations of cocktails to order. Great!

The best (and only) top-level creative cuisine in the area. We drive 40+ minutes to get there for special occasions. Rivals anything we've had in New York City when we lived there until recently.

I asked for a quiet table and got seated near a group that was obnoxiously loud for over an hour. Not the romantic dining experience I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED !! The fish I ordered was very bland and not much taste. For the prices charged the food was subpar for sure. Service was decent but not exceptional. May not be back at this place. Not worth the price.

Visited from Lancaster for something different. It was certainly worth the trip. Interesting and delicious cocktails, service was wonderful, food was exceptional. You do need to understand the first course, likely a salad, is separate from your main course. However, the quality and experience of the dishes is top shelf delicious. I'd say expect to pay $100 per person for a full meal and a drink or two. We are certainly interested in coming again in the future

We wanted something different and had not been to Sidney's in several years and it did not disappoint! The service from Brad was attentive and helpful, the To Sidney With Love cocktail was perfect and the choice of wines by the glass were quite nice. (We had the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon Blanc) We started with the Mushroom flatbread which was tasty (and even yummy heated up the next day). It could have used a variety of mushrooms and a splatter of Mike's Hot Honey but that is just our Table Talk. The beet salad was extraordinary and if I lived closer that would be regular take out item. My husband is still talking about the Monkfish and ohhh, those turnips...Wow! We shared the Bette Noire which was a nice finish with perfect chocolate and raspberry pairing.
