“We ate here when we were passing through. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The food was fantastic and our waitress was amazing. We clearly wandered in just as some kind of major event was kicking off. In spite of that, the service was swift and accurate, and the manager/owner even wandered by to make sure our meal as good (it was). Everything from the appetizer to dessert was great. Unfortunately, we aren't likely to be back in that area, but if we are, we're eating here again.“

The Boxcar restaurant, with its glowing reviews, was the first place that caught my eye. As I walked in, I immediately noticed the unique charm of this small Appalachian town in western PA.I decided to try their bacon cheeseburger, which came with the option of fries and, to my delight, they served Coke products. I ordered a Diet Coke to go with my meal. My companion opted for the Reuben and couldn't stop complimenting the food.Aside from the delicious food, I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how quickly they served us. In an era where dining out can be prohibitively expensive, the prices at the Boxcar were surprisingly reasonable. My burger cost just nine dollars, and with my drink, I spent a total of 11 bucks. It was a fantastic value for a satisfying lunch.If you ever find yourself in Lillie and in need of a bite to eat, I highly recommend the Boxcar restaurant. It's a hidden gem in the hills of western Pennsylvania.“

“First time here, and the food was good. The specials sounded great. Got the steak tips over mashed potatoes and noodles, and it's pretty good for a bar. The drink menu was also nice. It looked like they had a full bar, so you could order whatever mix drink you'd like. The only downside was when using the bathroom, there is no toilet stall door, and the main door doesn't lock, so if you gotta go number two, be ready to say hello to new friends. Other than that, this place is huge and could host a nice party, or dj, or live bands, a very cool atmosphere.“

“LPG is such a great spot!! Had amazing service, and the food was really good. I highly recommend the drunken cheesesteak, wings, and long island ice teas (the best around!!). Nathan and the staff are so friendly and accommodating, and it was truly such a great experience.“
