Probably the best hot dog in America. I love the unpretentious atmosphere. It is all about the food! And the pierogies are also amazing -- cooked perfectly. Worth a trip off the beaten path for the original!

What happened to the Yocco's I used to know? Husband and I stopped for 4 chili cheese dogs with everything,,,we were asked to repeat that order 4 different times by 4. Different teen workers within 5 minutes,,,was anyone awake? We sat down to unwrapped dogs with cheese that didn't melt and open faced dogs lukewarm with watery sauce dripping all over,,,I am aware Yocco's is under new ownership but changing the standard rolls to something dry and cracking was the limit! I am amazed and disheartened,,,,we predict a huge drop in business ,,,yes, the prices went up too,,,but that is to be expected in this economy,,,poor Yocco's,,,,This is a first time bad experience since coming here in 1999,,,,,anyone know what is going on?

Yocco's Hot Dog King is a 100+ year old cultural phenomenon in the Allentown/Bethlehem area, where frankfurters are truly snack royalty. There are a half dozen of these small fast food outlets by this name (as well as several other franchises and independent dog houses) around these parts. Our reason for stopping- a need for a break after a long drive home from Niagara Falls. Although still 75 minutes away, we like Yocco's individually handgrilled sausages from past visits, and our hunger after 6 hours on the road had us looking forward to the break and even fantasizing about that first bite and snap. We ordered a dozen of their classics, grilled and rolled with mustard, onion bits and a thin smear of their unique savory chili. Each was wrapped in white paper and boxed in plain cardboard. We also grabbed a large size crinklecut fries. We were really hungry, and quickly wolfed down those crisp babies as we drove south again toward Quakertown and then onto Route 313 all the way to Newtown. Sorry. No pics, as that Yelp courtesy was forgotten by our yowling bellies. We scarfed down two hots dogs apiece in the car, saving the final two for our kitchen table. While I wouldn't have them as a regular part of my diet, these Yoccos really hit the spot. No apologies. There will be a next time, and we will also try their pierogi as a side for the King of Hot Dogs.

Don't go here. Unfortunately, this place is going downhill fast. It's been around for nearly 100 years. But, there are better places to go and the atmosphere is bad and the overall experience is bad. And the staff is getting worse and worse and worse. And I don't like this place anymore. I moved 2000 miles away for four years and when I came back it was way different and everything was bad. They do have good pierogies and the hotdogs are good but everything else seems to be going downhill. My humblest regards, k.david

Every time I'm in Allentown I find a Yocco's. It's simple, delicious, Lehigh Valley comfort food. I get a hot dog with chili, fries, and a 2 piece pierogi. It's always the same- delicious!

My friends and family as well as myself have been enjoying Yocco’s for over 40 years. I heard quite a few complaints lately and went today. The fries were good as always. The hot dogs not only went up in price to 1.99 each, they are not close to the same. I actually think thats it for us. The roll was terrible, and the dog just didn’t taste good at all. Totally disappointed.

Yocco's is more than a hot dog, it's an establishment. This location in particular will bring back all the nostalgic vibes you've been craving. The Hot Dog King is proudly displayed by an iconic mural in the parking lot and in life size form in the dining room.If you're new to Yocco's just know that "everything" on your hotdog includes chili, mustard, and chopped raw onion - no thank you. I opted instead for chili and cheese, and it satiated my craving for a coney. All this is to say - Yocco's isn't fancy. It's a hot dog. The staff, the tables, the paint - it doesn't look like it's changed in years, but that's part of it's charm. They have some other menu items, but if I were you, I would just stick to dogs.

Less and less special every time I go. Very disappointing. Quality not great. Last time drive thru screwed us on our order. Should have taken it back. Solicited by pan-handler. Will never go back.

Some of the best food spots you will ever eat at are hidden gems. Newsworthy food places Tucked away in in humble holes in the wall waiting to blow you away with a delightfully surprising menu of the most delicious and mouthwatering foods you will ever eat, cooked by some of the best most modest chefs. At yoccos, this is not the case. Sadly,What you see is what you get. Large signs out front lay claim to being home to the hot dog king. Once in side the self proclaimed hot dog kingdom hosts its guest in a small dingy room with dated junky booths with loud yelling employees handing out hot dogs that take me back to the 50 cent hot dogs I received at the school cafeteria on a cheap stale bun. This yoccos was definitely not the royal hot dog experience I was expecting.

Hot Dogs are fried exactly right with tasty toppings - get the everything!!! Pierogi fried perfectly. And service is always the best!!!

Giving 1 star due to them changing the buns to junkLuckily we found a great hot dog shop in Pottstown that doesn’t skimp on quality for a larger profit. The grand kids that took over are ruining their legacy.

I was a little disappointed to see that this was still drive thru only. There is no outdoor seating so you either have to eat in your car or take it to go. After being cut off attempting to enter the drive through it took over 10 minutes in line to place an order. If you order is hotdogs and fries only the food comes up pretty quick. If you order anything else, be prepared t wait. The prices are very reasonable and the food is as expected for a hot dog restaurant.
