I LOVE this place!!! The fact that it's only open seasonally increases the anticipation! Prices are so reasonable, and the portions are HUGE! It may not look like much from the outside, but the "garden furniture" picnic tables make me feel like I'm visiting Family. Kristy herself is so pleasant and laid back, gives the vibe of a "cool aunt"...

Love their foods always made fresh and hot. Also their ice cream are so good ? and lots to choose from. Just to make sure to check their Facebook to see when they open. Because they open mainly during summer time and sometimes with events.

Our favorite hometown stop! Great food and generous portions. Their Cherry cokes are the best!

I’ve been going to Kristy Whistle Stop ever since she took over the place yrs ago. I go there every yr because my wife loves there Onion Rings and there Peanut Butter Chocolate Shakes. One of the nice things I like about Kristy’s is she has the same employees every yr which shows that they are very dedicated employees to her. Another thing I like about Kristy’s is I always get great service with a smile and I’m very well known to all the of the employees there they call me the Onion Guy lol and I ware that title with a badge of honor and I like it. As for Kristy she’s always got a smile on her face and if she’s got time she’ll even talk to the customers If your looking for the best ice cream and the best food and the best service with a smile Kristys Whistle Stop is the place to go too in the summertime The only bad thing is my wife hates when summer comes to an end and Kristy has to close up shop until next spring my wife has to wait 7 months to put in the next order of onions rings lol but I have to keep telling her it’s worth the wait Thanks You Kristy for all the yrs of great service from you and your employees Wishing you all a safe and happy winter and looking forward to seeing you all next spring GOD BLESS YOU ALL

They make a great pork bbq sandwich. The ice cream is good. She is starting to make their own ice cream. Had the choc Oreo yum.The fries are fresh but need to be made crispier...try parfrying then a second fry. Be aware the amount you get is more than expected??Parking: People seem to make space work with a little adjusting.Kid-friendliness: Kid love you the food. Parking can be a challenge sometime as a result of the many people that come here but when one pulls out another parks. The inside is real tight but the outside works.Wheelchair accessibility: Inside is not for wheelchairs but walkers/rollators can get though. Outside area is fine

I got the pork barbecue which was disgusting. It had to have been sitting overheat for a week. The French fries are rock hard way over done. The owner needs to go in and try to taste some of the food. I will never go back.

Huge servings of ice cream. I mean huge. Unless you are going to share, don't order the large portion. M&M cone was absolutely fantastic!

Best lil hidden gem here in PA! Think nostalgic ice cream shop with a hot food side original sandwiches, hot dogs, fresh fries and DO NOT SKIP ICE CREAM! My Fav....the Idgie, BLT on a soft pretzel roll with an amazing fried green tomato and petal sauce....mmmmmmmmm and the shared banana split!

This is a hidden gem on the Susquehanna River. They provide very generous portions and at very low cost. (If you are not hungry order a small). They also provide very timely service despite long lines. They had great customer service and a great atmosphere. They had awesome outdoor seating and easily accessible condiments and any supplies needed for ice cream. The only downside to this place is the parking when it gets busy. Overall, I love this place.

First time I've been. Been meaning to stop for awhile but the aesthetic is amazing the food is good and well priced for the large amount you get. I think the ice cream sizes are too big for my personal taste (a medium was like an extra large) but the ice cream itself was delicious. Overall great experience and great food.Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for potential picky eaters as well as what kid doesn't love ice creamParking: When busy the parking can be a bit tough but it wasnt horrible.

Nothing says summer like an ice cream from Whistle Stop. It's an icon. And even though I get the same two ice creams on and off, both are absolutely delicious. I need to start trying more favors!

I have been coming to this place for a long time. They have always had amazing food and ice cream. This past visit, i got their peach sunday. Awesome but would suggest a little peach syrup drizzled on top. Overall, 9/10, would absolutely get again.

It's a cute little place. One day I'll try the fast food but the ice cream options and sundaes look more plentiful than 3B.We went to King Kone in Hershey and I had the worst experience that I demanded my money back. That's the first time in my 51 years I ever did that. They gave me such a small portion for $6. Here the ice cream portions were so huge my son and I went home and put it the freezer. The sign says home made and my Rocky Road ice cream did taste home made. It's like the peanuts were freshly chopped that day. The marshmallows were fluffy. I have never tasted Rocky Road like this.I would like to try the fried foods.
