After finishing a road service call in the area I checked yelp for somewhere to grab a quick lunch. Corporal Dee's had good reviews so I headed over. I didn't realize it was in the VFW but it wasn't hard to find. The inside of the restaurant is plain with a few tables and the walls are decorated as most VFW / Foreign legions are.I walked in and ordered a pulled pork sandwich, fries and a soda. I think the total was around $11 and I thought the price was very fair. My order was ready quickly and I headed out to my truck to eat. The meat along with the fries were sprinkled with seasoning and the pork was cooked perfectly. I didn't realize the sandwich didn't come with and bbq sauce so I just walked back in and filled up to small containers with some of their house made sauces. They have (4) to choose from. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back next time I'm out that way.

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ! My friends and I were frequent diners at the previous location in Exton, so we were very excited when we heard about the new location in Downingtown. Everything is even better than we remembered! I've had the pleasure of placing two catering orders recently, one for a bachelor party (roughly 10 people) and the other for a service-member's welcome home party (around 30 people). Both times I was blown away by how quickly Mark emailed me back and made the process really easy. Everything was hot and ready to go right when I arrived for pick-up. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience and will definitely be ordering again for my next event!

Got take out here tonight for the first time. How have I missed this place? I had noooo idea it was back there at the Downingtown VFW. Well now that I know I'll definitely be back! Brisket was delicious. Baked beans were awesome! Loved the smoked wings. Thank you for a great dinner! Kim

Love this bbq, sad to see the exton location close but new Downingtown location is amazing and food is better than ever. Great rub on the ribs, and all time best fries.. no idea what they put in the seasoning, tastes like some crushed dried chili powder like gochugaru, insanely delicious but not spicy. Kids said mac & cheese was 10/10. We do notice some batch-to-batch variation in sides and sauces but generally very good.

Recently used corporal dee bbq for catering for my husbands surprise 40th birthday party. I am terrible at know how much food to get but mark was very friendly and helpful with making suggestions of amount of food needed. Mark went above and beyond with helping me load the food into my very small jeep. The food was delicious, everyone at the party raved about how delicious the brisket was. The Mac and cheese was also a big hit. Will be coming in again soon.

Ribs and Brisket were for sure the stars of the show. Mac N Cheese is really good! Will for sure get it again! Great food and love that is out of the VFW. I'll continue to support when i get the hunger for some great BBQ.

AWESOME brisket. My picky toddler ate about a half pound of this delicious meat candy. Smoked wings were also very yummy!! We used to visit Corporal Dee in Marchwood- we're thrilled they found a new location that's even closer to our home. Can't wait to go back!

The food is amazing. Let me say they really know what they are doing. It's more a takeout place it's not a formal restaurant it have tables inside and outside . But not a sit down restaurant. The best Mac and cheese I've had in a long time.

Delicious. Smokey, salty and sweet! All the boxes are ticked. We had the Brisket and Wings. Both were delicious. The dry rub is fantastic. True BBG. Enjoy.

Back in business at the new location! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I sampled the pulled pork, brisket, and chicken. I'm a little picky about rubs and believe a diffeeent rub for each protein is worth while, but their rub (which you can buy) is a very balanced rub between savory and sweet with a little Heat. It's a good all-in-one rub That you can please the party with. Brisket: it was cooked to perfection with good flex and a light pull to take apart. I'm a TX fan, so salt and pepper is my go-to for rub, but their rub with a little sweet and paprika was certainly good. I would order again. it was great straight and the next day on a sandwich. Pulled Pork: the rub in on point, and coupled with their amazing vinegar sauce, made a very tasty order. It's a good balance to make mostly everyone happy. I could eat this all day with the sauce. Wow. chicken: 100%, get here for the chicken. Amazing!

Thank you so much Corporal Dee, my wife and three kids devoured 6 Theighs, 2 Dozen Wings, and a Rack of Ribs. There was nothing left but the bones and everyone was raving how delicious it was! Your the best Corporal! Thanks again for helping us get through this quarantine with your delicious food!

Came here for the raving reviews but honestly I was disappointed. Parking was easy. And no one was there so we got to order and get out to go food right away. The place has adorable old west decor. Unfortunately some of the menu was covered by a folded table. The best part of this place was the adorable girl working the counter. Must be her first job. And while she seemed nervous she knew the place well. We got everything that was recommended. Except the wings. I thought we might get to taste test like they say but no luck. We got pickles which we fine. The macaroni was sub par. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it wasn't as seasoned as I hoped. Just meat and bread. I think I only ate half of it and just threw the rest out. I was hoping it would be more appetizing but overall it was nothing special. And that's sad to say because this place has real potential.

Came here on a Sunday with my husband for the first time after reading great reviews and they were closed! The sign on the door, website, yelp and google all say open until 7 and the place was completely dark and closed for business. Very disappointing.

I wish the guy all the success in the world. I just ate there for the first time. place claims to have the "best" bbq in the area. Well, the area must have really low standards. The sandwich I bought was $10, and dry as can be. Unless you saturate it with their sauce, it's like eating moistened balsa wood. Then I asked them to put my coleslaw on the sandwich. Kid looked at me like I was from Mars. You got a BBQ joint, and ya never heard of that?!?! do some research. At the end of the day, they do not get my recommendation.
