The food and people have remained great at Taverna, but this spot just underwent some extensive renovations. It used to have that small-town ski-lodge dive bar feel, which is REALLY awesome. Now it feels a bit mute while they still undergo more design renos. But the food and people that work there are still the same and haven't sufferer any. So we will continue to frequent this spot!

First let me say the new remodel is beautiful and really opens things up. The amplified acoustics that came with expanding are understandably something they are trying to gauge.. We have been here many many many times. There is 3 of us usually with tab of @$100+ . Service always hit or miss but food was always good. UNFORTUNATELY the past couple times we have been the SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. Both times we were seated pretty quickly by the hostess but once we were seated we had to wait atleast 10-15 min before a server came over to get our drink order, then it was another wait before we actually got our drinks (all non-alcoholic so it wasn’t a bar issue) and placed our meal order. Food has been very slow coming out. Once food arrived there was more waiting for drink refills. This past time my daughters applesauce never came out, but our server was no where to be found so she didn’t get part of her meal. There seems to be a couple waitresses always sitting around chatting with each other but don’t seem to be helping run food or drinks or even acknowledge customers. (One a broader taller stature blond girl with long hair that was in braids wearing glasses and a darker hair girl.) Both times they were not busy, only 4-6 tables(no larger parties) in addition to the some bar patrons. It’s sad because this is a nice place. The terrible service will ruin anyone’s experience doesnt matter if the food is good or not. People are quick to share negative experiences but I am hoping that owners/management can fix this by hiring better servers or better train the ones they have. Consistently friendly service makes people want to return. I have worked in the hospitality industry(managed/served) so I completely understand the challenges of staff. I feel like I am more forgiving because i know first hand what it’s like. We WANT to continue to come, we WANT to support local small business but no one wants to pay their hard earned money or waste their time to get terrible service.

Worst experience ever. We were seated and given water by the hostess. Waitstaff did not take our drink order or dinner order. Restaurant was so loud we couldn't even hear the hostess. The hostess and waitress knew they messed up because they were pointing at us, however couldn't even give the courtesy of apologizing. Spoke to the bar manager but what a waste! Wish the Four Seasons was still there. Would not have tipped anyone there! I will not be back and I will let others know. I should have gone to Gettysburg!

The food was hot and fresh and there was a lot of it. My daughter and I could only eat half of it but that's okay because we'll be able to enjoy the rest later for a second time.
We had a party of 6 for early dinner and had Alyssa as our server. She was great and would 100% recommend her to anyone eating dinner there!Great food also!

Taverna is always my go to when I'm hungry. I love the food the staff is always awesome and the food never dissappints!
I went here for a late breakfast with my friend. We both got the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, with fries, waters, I got a Pepsi and he had a hot chocolate.The cheesesteak here is one of the best I've ever had, outside of Philly. The meat was fully cooked but not dry, the bread was perfectly toasted and didn't cut my mouth up, and the cheese was melted through the whole sandwich. It also comes with sautéed onions and peppers, I had mine without onions and light on the peppers. They came with lettuce, sliced tomato and pickle slices on the side.The fries were hot and salty, size was between McDonald's and BK fries. The portion looked like at least a big potato's worth of fries, it was a sizeable pile. They came with cups of ketchup and some white sauce (I think a horseradish sauce, I didn't try it).My friend said the hot chocolate was very hot, but good. My Pepsi was, well, a Pepsi.Our waiter was very professional, he told us about a fish taco special and checked on us a couple times during our meal.The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars is because they're in the middle of renovations, but it looks really good on the inside/open section despite the construction.

They're undergoing construction for a new look! Can't wait to see how it turns out! Through the active construction, they still manage to have great service and food! I recommend the BBQ chicken flatbread! Our waitress was amazing, accommodating a larger group of about 20 people. All our food was done right, and she didn't skip a beat, or even second, guess who got what? She had it down! Will definitely come back again soon!
