My wife and I just came back from our first trip to Giant Oaks Winery, and we were very impressed. The location is convenient with plenty of easy parking. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with several repurposed wine barrels- turned-tables and comfortable seating. The winery doubles as an art gallery, featuring art-for-sale from several local artists. Lou, the owner, greeted us at the door and again at our table to explain the food and drink menu and tasting options. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and exactly the kind of small business owner you'd love to support. The large selection of wines was also impressive. The best of the afternoon was the selection of moonshine. Of the few we could responsibly sample on the trip, we fell in love with the Apple Pie, Creamsicle, and Elderberry. We plan to return often for the food, drink, and wonderful atmosphere. Thanks Lou!
