This is exactly what you want a diner to be like. Big portions of breakfast food, at a reasonable price with a server that refers to everyone as "Hun." If you're looking for a wonderful breakfast that won't break the bank, you've found it.

I grew up here and have since moved out west where I have stood in line for the famous LA Pinks, but I’m still looking for a hot dog as good as yours.

Tourist from MD. It was so hard to fine Breakfast in the historical district. This little diner was top notch! Excellent breakfast with generous portions. Great service with Hope (read some reviews that maybe they weren’t so inviting) so maybe request her. I love the old school diner vibe. Reasonable pricing and clean restroom. 10/10 highly recommend.

Place sucks. Chili is downright disgusting and onions are very bitter. No wonder it's being bought out and completely changed to another restaurant. Who would want to inherit this dump for their legacy? You want a decent hot lunch hotdog? Got to famous in Hanover. Good riddance Ernie's. Few will miss you.

Great chili dogs...the fries were perfection. While the menu will remain with the new owners, just sad to see the name go. Got one last visit in before the change.

True "Old School" Diner with traditional style. Just had chili dogs and fries. Fries were great, The dogs had that natural casing snap! Chili was not highly seasoned (local preferences?) Good stuff, Bun was pretty good too. Onions on top were a little bitter. All in all good experience, Service was slow and received the fries after the dogs were eaten, smh. Will return when in the area

Ernie's Texas Lunch fell short of expectations. I definitely stopped by because it seemed like a choice for my whole family. The customer service lacked warmth, leaving my family and I feeling unwelcome. The parking situation was challenging, and despite the cute ambiance, the food lacked flavor and taste, making it a less-than-satisfying dining experience. It was hard to get someone at our table, they never checked in on us till we had to pay. Not like it was busy. The spot was cute but not worth it. Next time I’ll go to Denny’s!⚠️? #HonestReview #ErniesTexasLunch
