My new favorite place in Gettysburg since General Pickettes Buffet closed. Service was extremely excellent. The food was very tasty. The portion sizes were great. The only thing that would have made it over the top is if a train rolled by (I am a train buff) on the tracks next to the restaurant.

My regular go-to in Gettysburg. Looks like a run down diner but the atmosphere inside is warm and friendly and the food is amazing! Even better, the desserts!!!! May not be fancy but always a 5 outta 5 in my book!

What a fun morning with these friendly ladies! The smile on the owners face, beautiful of course. Also super friendly! The food was out before I could even get my coffee tasting just right! My usual breakfast of course did not disappoint as you can see...the price was even better!! A home run! The bartender from the tavern @ Lincoln Square recommended The Lincoln Diner, & I am glad he did!

We love eating breakfast out, and I had this on my list of restaurants to try on our trip to Gettysburg. We arrived about half an hour after they opened, and there were plenty of customers already. We found a nice window booth in the back dining room. There was a little wait before the busy young waitress came out to take our orders, but she brought coffee right away!We both ordered scrambled eggs with home fries, bacon, and toast. The portions were huge! There was little or no salt on the potatoes or eggs, but of course we added salt and pepper to our tastes; a good thing to know if you’re trying to cut back on salty food! Many of the other diners seemed to be local people who eat here often, and it is a very relaxing place to drink several cups of delicious coffee before you start your day! There is a free parking lot on the side and back of the building, but very tight.( We were in a minivan.)Parking: Enter the narrow alley on the left side of the restaurant to park in the angled spaces, but backing up can be tricky if there are lots of cars. You must exit onto the one way street( with train tracks beside it) and turn left to leave the lot.Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp leads up to the front door, and the restaurant is on one level, but the bathrooms are down a steep flight of stairs so not wheelchair accessible.

Best desserts ever! OMG I'm going to have to keep going back to try them all! Skip dinner - the food is just okay. But definitely go there for dessert - and breakfast. Breakfast is good if you don't mind fighting your way to a table. They're always packed on the weekends and won't put you on a wait list. They also won't let you stand in line in the restaurant (there's really no room), so you end up in a hungry group crowded around the door, trying to keep others from jumping the makeshift line. It's ridiculous! But the wait staff is friendly, breakfast is yummy, and the homemade desserts are worth a fight!

This diner is a true throwback and fun experience. We were instructed to seat ourselves for breakfast, and passed a delicious looking dessert display case. Which I will be going back for. Our waitress was great, and the food was just as good. We will definitely be back.Meals: both with home style fries1. The Greek breakfast sandwich2. Egg white sandwich with cheese and baconParking: Paid parking on the street via app or change.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available for the little ones.

The Lincoln Diner is a regular go to for us. Their food is always plentiful and delicious. Nice atmosphere and the staff are excellent. Will eat here often. The only problem is that the restrooms are down a flight of stairs which is hard for me to navigate, but other than that it's a great place❣️
