Where do I begin? Great service, awesome selection & outstanding EVERYTHING. From the Dinner Plate size Cinnamon Rolls that melt in your mouth, Wonderful Cookies-Huge fan of Sarah’s oatmeal cranberry raisin cookies-breakfast in a cookie, her cheesecakes are so yummy & creative flavors, eclairs, cupcakes, the list goes on. For Easter we picked up a delicious coconut cake that stole the show. As a young entrepreneur, I know of no one more dedicated to her craft & her customers than Sarah. Such a Blessing to Gettysburg & to the area.

My husband and I have been customers since before this brick and mortar store. EVERY item we’ve had (and we have had almost everything Sara has made) was beyond delicious!! Her cinnamon rolls are to die for, her cheesecakes are exquisite, the cookies are absolutely delicious, the cupcakes are amazing and what I like most about the cupcakes is she ALWAYS has a variety of flavors and the icing is so very good. Her chocolate mousse parfaits are DELECTABLE!! Her tiramisu is scrumptious, the pumpkin rolls around the holidays are the best I’ve ever tasted. Now, the chocolate eclairs surpass anything I have ever had!! Her strawberry shortcakes undeniably delicious!! You just can’t go wrong buying anything from Sweeter than Sap!!

The staff is amazing. However, even though the cupcakes look fantastic, I was quite disappointed in all 6 flavors I tried. The sponge was pretty dry. The frosting lacks flavor and texture. I am not a fan of whipped icings. Good old fashioned buttercream seems to have gone by the wayside. A cupcake should taste like dessert, not breakfast bread.SUPER EXPENSIVE...even for a tourist town.

Yum, just... yum. We are visiting Gburg and local family came by our bnb & brought cheesecake & cookies. We started sampling the cheesecake before dinner, and then had to go buy more quick before they closed. And we still have no leftovers. Local Gburgers, run- don't walk- to SwS! I'm only happy I don't live here b/c I'd weigh 100k pounds. Enjoy your gem of a dessert shop!

I highly recommend Sweeter than Sap to anyone in the Gettysburg area! They went above and beyond for my daughter’s 14th birthday. Despite being from California, I contacted them for a surprise since she was in town on her school trip. They not only crafted a special treat but also delivered it to her hotel and set up a delightful surprise in her room. My daughter and her friends were thrilled, making it a birthday she’ll never forget. Thank you, Sweeter than Sap, for making her day truly memorable!

I was visiting Gettysburg and had a craving for something sweet. So of course......Sweeter than SAP! I had never visited this charming little shop but was happy to try out a few of the sweets on display! I couldn't resist the Cinnamon Roll and it was the BEST I have ever had...anywhere! I also tried a little strawberry delight with ripe strawberries and cream and it was also delicious! Everything looked so good and I wish I had purchased a few more items to take home!Delighted to have found this wonderful little bakery!If you are anywhere near Gettysburg be sure to stop by and enjoy some of the many items they offer!

I am a local food critic with a youtube channel. I have yet to do a filming of this place but I plan to.But here is a written review of this place.So let's talk location. Sweeter than sap is located across from the community theater and is in a prime location. I remember back in the day when this used to be a music shop.You walk in and are greeted with a warm atmosphere of great customer service from the minute the door opens up.You are then Asked can I help you and take your order.The bakery items are top quality. I know it may be pricey to some but don't let the price fool you as the food is worth it!There is only one baker, the owner, and she toils long and hard to bring you the freshest baked goods possible and it shows.The top selling item, which is my favorite, is the cinnamon roll. Be for warned. It is big enough , as my mom says, to feed a family of 4 easily. It's the side of a small dinner plate.You take one bite of it and you are in heaven. My favorite way to eat it is cut a piece off, add some butter to a frying pan and cook it lightly on both sides baking it oh so delish. This puts my normal of ye old college diner stickies to shame. I mean I still love them but sweeter than sap is better.I tried something different this time, a cinnamon cupcake. The cupcake is AMAZING..... I had to get two and just scarfed one down... hands down this is what Gettysburg needed.If you don't get a cake on time or your worried of price,don't. The food is well worth the price you pay.I'll keep going back as a local as well as all of my out of town friends.I forgot the thing that I enjoy the most is I was sitting down eating a cinnamon roll to myself and the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted it microwaved a little bit. I said sure.. that to me is great customer service.I approve... and you Def need to gi e sweeter than sap a try.Parking: You can park behind at the parking lot and on street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading into the restaurant.
