I've been wanting to try coffee here for a while. It was perfect! Definitely a hidden gem in Gettysburg. Great menu to choose from for food too if you're hungry.

Get the beef arepas. You will not be disappointed. Kids loved the breakfast quesadilla. Nothing ugly about this place at all!

The best and cutest cafe close enough to the square but far enough away to enjoy a quaint lunch or coffee. The staff are always kind and somehow they remember your order and your table without a table number. Incredible. Try the peach tea and the homemade coleslaw!! You will not be disappointed. My favorite place to stop on my lunch breaks ❤️

Sweet coffee shop and lunch stop. Very good lattes. Didn't get food but it all looked fabulous . Neat vibe as well.

Coffee was very good...we were there very early...just us...got Coffee and had our snacks...was told that we can't eat in the cafe...very unpleasant way.

Great place for sandwich. Loved it ! The employees are very Covid safe and require masks to be on when waiting in line and also for picking up your order.

We ate lunch at the ugly mug and the sandwiches were delicious. I had the southwest chicken wrap and my daughter had the same sandwich on a ciabatta roll. It was a little spicy but very flavorful. The slaw on the side was also delicious. My husband got the grilled chicken sandwich on a roll, and it was no ordinary sandwich. The toppings made it unique. We will definitely eat here again on our future trips to Gettysburg.

I gave 2 stars instead of none bc their coffee is great and the place has a nice artsy atmosphere. The food however was not good at all. They make what they claimed to be arepas but they indeed were nothing like an arepa. It was like having a tamale with no filling or sauce. They just fried the maize but added nothing to it and it was far thicker then it should be and not fully cooked. The meat tasted like it was bad my husband who literally eats everything threw it all away. Then the Buffalo nachos were literally just square chunks of chicken that had been tossed in some cheap Buffalo sauce. There were a couple jalapeños and some crema on top. I've never had such bland tasting nachos. The whole meal was just disappointing. That coffee was great my husband would totally come back just for that but I'd never eat here again.

It is raining in the morning. Not easy to find the place to open and no long line in the weather like this. The Ugly Mug cafe is a hipster place in the area. There is a parking near by and self service order and coffee. After order you can just seat yourself to any table that empty. The staff serve food to your table and this is only time they service you. Anything else you serve yourself.I actually okay with it because you don't have to wait for anything.

The Ugly Mug Cafe was adorable, the art they had in there was so cool, the staff was nice and was patient when we didnt know what to order. They even brought the food out, the music they played was good too.
