Found the Diner online while in the area. Great choice to go there. Service was good, food good, you get plenty for your buck. Only problem I had was, the smell of cleaning supplies. The scent was strong and everytime cleaning was being done, almost taste the cleaner while eating. Yes you want to know a place is clean, but not taste while eating.

I had to get someones attention after being seated for 10 minutes just to get drinks. Service alone was extremely slow. Oh, there was not many people there to get such slow service. Food was ok. Don't think we'll be back.

We have been eating out one night a week, trying different places in the area. The food here was not good. We thought we were playing it safe by ordering a burger and fries….how can you mess that up? The burger was so over cooked, it was dry and flavorless. The French fries were literally chewy. How do French fries get chewy? Tried the little side of coke slaw…literally no flavor. My boyfriend said it tasted like wet styrofoam, which was accurate. Generic ketchup too (I should have known the second I saw the generic ketchup bottle)! And the coffee was old and tasted awful. So how do you fix this? We decide to order desserts to go. Chocolate cake and cheesecake. Neither were good…they looked good, but the cake was dry and the cheesecake was mushy. On the plus side, service was good and the server was friendly and nice. Bright lighting and we were seated close to a speaker and the music was loud enough that I had to keep asking my boyfriend what he said. So the atmosphere wasn’t so great either. We surely won’t go back again :(

Service was a little slow. Would be ok with that if it didn't taste bad. A small gnat crawled off my plate at first, ok no big deal I can get past that. The fries were awful, not double fried diner fries, they use zero salt on fries or hash browns. I got a turkey club, they use cheap deli meat not turkey breast. My wife got eggs Benedict, the sauce was gloopy and flavorless. The ham was whitish and flavorless. They charge ala carte for a tiny plate of gross fries. The Cole slaw tasted old and inedible. The owner was friendly and greeting patrons. That part was cool. The food and prices are terrible and I can't honestly ever go back or recommend this place. I wrote this review while being held hostage while their cash register updated. "Sorry we can't do anything while the system is updating". I found something to do.

Popular place on Carlisle Pike serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. Have been there for breakfast and lunch a few times and the food is good at a reasonable price. It's our favorite diner behind CC's Kitchen in downtown Mechanicsburg.
