I’ve been ordering from caliente’s for a while. Lately all I’ve noticed is how inconsistent their pizzas were. I used to go to a few other locations and never had an issue but this one has made my pizza over cooked or undercooked multiple times. Every once in a while I get a good pizza. It’s just frustrating.

Had lunch at Hampton location. Had the Motor City Madness, a Detroit style pizza. It was excellent. My wife and I shares one and took half home.

saw the awards and wanted to try it in person. Hopefully the other places are better but this place is the worst. Came with family and stood around for several minutes before we were told to just sit anywhere. Place was mostly empty. Only two other tables had customers. Picked the “cleanest” of tables after walking around on sticky floor. Sat down and eventually hostess/waitress came over and “wiped off” the table by sweeping off the crumbs of who knows what off the table just using her hand. That set up a bad vibe so we stuck to bottled drinks. Order food and got out as soon as we could. Pizza was fine but if that’s what they do in front of house, question is what they do in back. I might try another location but I feel the food poisoning risk is just not worth it from this one. Sad really. I wanted to try several of their items.

They claim to have the taste of the Jersey Shore....not even close! Not to mention that the owner is Polish, sorry the pizza is not good at all, too doughy and the sauce and cheese are not fresh. Oh and the worst aspect of all is I grew up near the Jersey Shore and I can tell you it's a total misrepresentation of the pizza and they don't even have slicesKid-friendliness: It's a bar so be advised when I was there a drunk was dancing and falling all over the place

Online ordering system is klunky and unreliable. Multiple times our order “wasn’t received” when we received a pickup time notification through the website.

Ordered the deep dish with pepperoni and mushroom for take out. The sause and dough was quite good, however, they skimped on the mushrooms. Bottom line: not worth $31.00

For $20+ bone in wings (10ct) and $23 medium buffalo chicken pizza and two sides of ranch I expected better. Wings are soggy and the meat is rubbery and tastes of stale chicken. The pizza flavor is good but the dough is undercooked, flops over like a fish. I’ve eaten at the Sewickley location in person and it puts this location to shame. Probably won’t reorder at any location because this feels like I got robbed. Not to mention their “medium” might as well be a small.

Can’t beat their happy hour. Great beer, decent food, and the price was right.

This was my first visit to a Caliente! I decided to go after seeing the 'Made In PGH Pizza Passport', but decided to do my own little tour at my pace. Caliente seemed to be included on many local lists and they had a convenient location nearby, so I gave it a shot. While studying at the library I preordered a small pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage.Despite listing a roughly 45 minute wait, the pizza was ready when I arrived early, perhaps because it was a Monday around 8 and not busy. I was immediately helped and on my way after entering through the side door dedicated strictly to pickup orders. This was a smart feature since you don't have to get mixed up in line with others trying to order at the counter or grab a table like at my restaurants, plus they have coolers for last minute drink purchases. The pizza was hot and tasted great, with light airy crust. Plenty of toppings including crispy edged pepperoni. It was denser than a lot of local pizzas, but not quite as heavy as some like Pizza Hut. Pretty good overall.

We have been to this location twice...I would love to rate the food because I've heard it's really good but we couldn't get to the point of ordering any food because the service was the worst I've encountered in quite some time at any restaurant... The first time there was about 5 tables occupied... Sat there for a good 15 mins and no one even came to take out drink order... So we left... The second which was today we were the ONLY people in the entire sit down restaurant part.. This time it was a good 20 mins before we were greeted and asked for drinks... The waiter was too busy restocking the napkins at the table to bother with us... He DEFINITELY saw us when we came in and as we sat... We watched him restock practically right next to us.... Never will go back to this establishment.. It's too bad because I heard the food was pretty good...if you like good food and terrible service this is your place
