DISGUSTING. I ordered a chicken salad- the workers were not wearing masks. One of the guys had literally 1 glove on while handling food. I didn't realize until after I paid and midway food preparation unfortunately. After I got my food the lettuce was gross and the cucumbers were definitely rotten and old. The chicken was awful, no flavor and probably past. I threw rhe entire container away after opening it. I cannot believe I gave these people $10 for a disgusting salad and horrible service. I'm appalled they're still in business. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

the owner had great customer service and banter with customers. made some great recommendations for dinner choices. recommend before hitting the theater.

was excited to finally be able to eat soup at lunch in school, when i ordered i payed with a larger bill at first they didn’t give me my change and just blew me off they said didn’t have change for me so they told me to come back later for it and walked away.. but later when? so i can get turned down because i have no proof they owe me the money. so when the cashier came back i got all my money back and payed with smaller bills instead. after waiting a while they told me they were out of the soup i wanted. which is okay, no big deal. so i asked for my money back and as the cashier was getting it for me, he told my friend who was waiting with me (she was on her phone) to not leave a bad review and that we should just “let the small business live” with such a disgusting attitude. like sir we weren’t leaving any review actually, but NOW we are cuz what!!! that was terrible customer service, which is sad cuz i was planning to come back and was so excited to eat food from there.

As the manager here at Fresa, I would like to address a couple of things that i read in the reviews below. First my boss doesn't yell at myself or the other employees. Tyrik is a very mild mannered man who works hard to provide for his wife and baby. Never has he been reckless with the baby. He is a very loving father who as I said before works very hard to care for his family. Since working there I have always been treated with respect, and as if I am also part of the family. I would like to think that the public would support the small business owner instead of trying to humiliate them. Come on down for breakfast or lunch, I promise you will enjoy your meal and you will also see that we are all just hard workers. Thank you.

Lots of shouting and running around by the bossy guy who was shouting at the cashier (I dont know why) the foods ok we had some tacos and kebab . Was overall an average experience not anything extraordinary. I feel bad for the employee and the way the managerI guess , who also ran the coffee shop stormed out of the shop with the baby in the carriage was a surprise. I wouldn’t rage out on the street with a baby on board. All in all it was ok just for a short stop . Would recommend at own risk

I just had the pleasure of eating at Fresa Bistro. I had the chicken cheese steak and onion rings. Everything was cooked quickly and was absolutely amazing. The employees all greeted me with a smile, and they were a little busy so the owner was helping cook and it was great watching them work so well together and joke around. This is definitely somewhere that i will be coming back to for lunch again.

2021 - Sorry, but Fresa is now a shell of its former self. I didn't realize there was a management change, as I've been working from home for the past 20 months. I didn't feel like I was eating in Fresa, but in an average diner.2018 - Great, fresh salads, sandwiches, wraps and paninis. A good value for your dollar. Service is quick and efficient.

Fresa bistro food is amazing! 10 of 10 experience the service was great I ordered a California cheesesteak . I'm not one to step out of my comfort zone and try new things but fresa bistro is definitely a place I will be returning to try different foods and now they serve breakfast all day

I was disgusted reading some of these reviews. Yes Fresa is under new management, yes the menu has changed GIVE IT A CHANCE! The owner is a wonderful man who is very hard working and treats his employees with respect. I have been in there several times and have witnessed him joking and laughing with his employees. I have also seen on many different occasions walking around with his infant son, just adoring him and proud to show him off. I have had many different items off the menu and they have been nothing short of amazing. It us definitely a place that i will be returning to often.

Concerned about the treatment of employees. During the busy lunch time it was a bit of a wait which is to be expected! The cashier made a mistake and the owner/manager had to void 107 dollars to the customer in front of me. The owner proceeded to yell at the cashier in front of everyone for making a mistake. It was demeaning and unprofessional. That cashier didn’t do it on purpose. This treatment of employees during a pandemic is unacceptable.

Holy moly. They are so slow and disorganized. And it smells very strongly of fried food because all of the cooking and food prep including frying goes on where orders are placed. It takes forever for them to even start your order. Been here 20 minutes and they're just starting to make it. And, no, it's not busy. Really, it's not. I'd have sympathy if they were busy. They also just asked what I ordered. Now, the guy who came in after me is getting his food before me. And, guy working just tried to take the fried portion of the food out of the fryer basket with a plastic gloved hand. 25 minutes after my order was placed it was wrapped up.

We chose Fresa as we walked through Harrisburg for the first time as visitors because we were looking for something fresh and a, hopefully, healthier option. My wife chose a salad and I went in on a sub. The sub, was passable--though there was a lot of bread in proportion to the very light serving of meat and vegetables. My wife's salad, on the other hand, was a completely different story. It would be fantastic if you didn't serve salads with just wilted lettuce and soggy cucumbers. It would be even better if, when your employees took that salad back into the shop to replace the lettuce, they actually came back out with fresh lettuce and cucumbers--not just more wilted brown lettuce and soggy cucumbers. Even if new to her plate, still wilted and soggy. Instead of just issuing a refund (only $8.99, not including tax) for a salad--because you messed up twice--we were told to wait one minute and the server/cook disappeared. After some time, we went inside. We were told to wait again. That cook, just a guy struggling behind the counter, was afraid of making a scene. He really didn't want to tell us that the owner, who wasn't even in that location, decided over the phone NO REFUNDS EVER. And, if we wanted to contest it, we had to walk down to another one of his restaurants to talk to him directly. No, Sir. NEVER AGAIN. Awful service. Awful--inedible food that was returned to the counter. And, denied a refund despite not being touched. You, sir, have a lot to learn about running a business. I know it probably doesn't matter to you because we are not locals. But, I will be sure to post my review to every social media, yelp, and whatever review system is available so that everyone that visits Harrisburg knows how awful you are and will avoid you. Fresa Bistro used to be a great place to eat. I came to this establishment every time I visit Harrisburg on business. I'm not sure what happened to the place; but, it is awful!! It's under new ownership. The owner was the cook the day I was there and he can't cook! I ordered the southwest salad. The salad was not southwest. It was a tossed salad with grilled chicken that tasted like a wet rag and southwest dressing that tasted like French. I informed the owner of my dissatisfaction. He stated he would give me a free meal the next time. When I informed him I wasn't coming back, he handed me a $10 bill and snatched the receipt out of my hand. Never again!!
