We were in the area for a youth hockey tournament and “Joe Mama” has been a running joke in our household for years. So when I looked up breakfast places, we HAD to try Joe Mama’s Kitchen.The owner and her employee make you feel right at home…you literally feel like you’ve shown up at a close friend or relative’s house to have a lovely breakfast in their eat-in kitchen.My wife and I had omelettes (she the veggie and I the western)…we looked up at each other and said in unison, “this is the best omelette I have ever had.”Our son had the Big Joe’s breakfast with French toast…OUT of this world (I can’t lie, I tried it all)…the bacon is thick cut and cooked to perfection, their grits are so tasty, you don’t have to doctor them with anything. The thick bread used for a French toast is perfect.We will be coming back to this tournament most likely for the next 5 to 8 years and this will be our breakfast spot.

Wasn’t impressed with the breakfast , cheese and eggs were bland and the grits were runny and soupy not good at all , the beef sausage is not 100% beef because it’s encased with hog casing , the burgers are pretty good and that’s what I will stick too . I asked for a grilled chicken and they didn’t have it so they used pulled chicken , it was just basically thrown together . Staff is very nice and polite .
