this was one of my favorite places. so much so that they would recognize me when i came in. the food was always great. however this morning (4/15/24) will be the last time i go. i ordered my usual pho soup and spring rolls. i found a very long dark hair in one of my spring rolls and it literally made me gag. i couldn't even eat the other two and threw everything out. unfortunately i will not be returning.

Both my girlfriend and I decided to have some pho originally at Pho 99 WHICH HAD H O R R I B L E CUSTOMER SERVICE.PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR TO COME TO NEW ORLEANS PO BOYS INSTEAD!! We've tried plenty of pho places in Harrisburg area. This restaurant by far HAS THE BEST PHO! Also, the customer service was amazing!! My, who was our server was extremely welcoming and friendly!!! Can't wait to come back.

I swear these 1 star reviews are from fake accounts from the owners of the pho place across the way. I've been here hundreds of times over the last 5+ years. The food is just simply better than pho 99. The grilled pork banh mi's are my favorite. The spring rolls are amazing. The pho is awesome. The Vietnamese chicken wings are delicious. This is one of the best restaurants in Harrisburg. It's rundown, but they've never been out of compliance with their food inspections. The quality is consistent. My only complaint is that there can be a language barrier at times. It's never stopped me from being able to order though.

Banh mi is not your regular banh mi. The ingredients for a regular banh mi is not correct. Looks like they just put whatever left over ingredients in the banh mi. Like y'all could have told me, y'all did not have the ingredients for a REGUALR banh mi. Thai tea is overly sweet!! taste like simple syrup!! Wasted money and tip at this restaurant. Never again!!The food is not good. Their eggrolls are sweet .. like why?? If you want Pho or egg rolls go to the other restaurant that makes pho. Forgot to mention, when I flipped the banh mi to inspect it, there was either mice poop or dead bug stuck in the bread. Keep in mind this is a plain roll not a sesame roll.

One of my go to places when in town.Looks can be deceiving, looks run down. They focus on the food not the atmosphere.Best shrimp spring rolls around. Bahn mi is very flavorful. The smoothies are real fruit and tasty, but a little high priced.Honestly never seen French pastries for sale.

A VN restaurant in a run down Asian Mall. There is no hint that Po Boy sandwiches or bakery items were available for sale on the day I visited or anytime in the past few years, much less French bakery items.

Best Vietnamese sandwich I have had! Also, it’s helpful to use google translate when ordering. But food is amazing.

Place was dirty couldn't even use half the eating utensils because there was dried food on them and our food did come out fast and the service was good but the food was just terrible it tasted reheated and we weren't even served rice noodles which is what we ordered, we were served some weird, soft, very over cooked noodles. All of the food tasted weird. I'm not really sure how you mess up fried rice that badly. If this was my first time trying pho. I'd never try it again, but again the service was good and the food was quick, but terrible. Will not go again.

It's interesting that outside of Asia Mall there are two pho restaurants across the hall from each other. Asia Mall itself has kind of a sketchy vibe, but the restaurant itself had a homey intimate feel. I ordered the pho dac biet (without tripe) which came out to ~$15 after tax and tip. Overall, I felt that the pho here was a 4.5. The pho here at New Orleans Po Boi comes out with a large portion of greens (onions, green onions, cilantro) which I appreciated. Also, having eaten pho for the past week, I was very pleased with the broth. It was a clear, flavorful, meaty broth that had a slight hint of acidity that really cut through the broth and added a brightness to it. The meat was very well curated and I especially enjoyed that many of the slices of meat had a fat cap that was very delicious. I also always enjoy it when a restaurant adds meatballs to the dac biet. Overall, a great bowl of pho and I would definitely come back.

This is my favorite place to eat at and wind down with some of my friends. The waitress already knows my orders as soon as sit down. Truly a comforting place to eat!
