“One of the best stands at the Broad Street Market. Great place to find authentic Spanish food in Harrisburg. Everything is handmade, fresh, and delicious. Their beef & cheese empandas are the go-to, but their rice and beans is also amazing. They have such a friendly staff too. Love this spotParking: Street spots can get taken quickly but there are free 2-hour parking lots around the marketWheelchair accessibility: The only curb cutouts are by the handicap parking spots, but the market itself is wheelchair accessible“
“Suba is open again and it is very good. It’s a small, intimate space, ideal for couples or small groups. There is a good selection of small plate tapas and a menu of tacos (2 per serving). The smaller, well curated menu allowed us to try almost everything and there was nothing we didn’t enjoy. A group of 6 could probably order one of everything and be good. There is a good spread of meat, seafood and no meat dishes. Cocktails were well made. Service was friendly and on the mark., even understating of my screwup in ordering a drink which they replaced without any problem. Now, we come from the DC area and the prices here are what we would call DC level but the quality and value make it well worth it. 100% recommend for a nice evening- especially if you like to try different things.“
“I live in York and work in Harrisburg. The rice & beans in York is atrocious. This is the original and amazing compared to the other! Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic value and overwhelmingly fresh! They even have a bar and they will come to your table with smiles to offer your drinks or any other sides etc.Parking: Parking is a nightmare. They have a small parking lot crammed in a very busy street and cars constantly block others in. It’s busy, fast moving, and limited in space!“
“I really liked coming here. Great authentic place. The service could have been better but they were definitely trying their best with only 3 employees. You can watch them make your food, we were at the West Shore Farmers Market where we watched one person prep all the ingredients, one person cook, and one person taking all the orders. We got the Empanadas and Taquitos. Everything we got was only $14 for the both of us and we couldn't finish all of it. Both could have used more flavor, but that hot sauce is soooo good they top everything with the red sauce (it's very spicy) but it made everything better. Overall, good food, and made me feel good eating local!Ps- loved their sign giving you the directions to the nearest taco bell ?“
“It's a Food truck located at 13th and Haehnlen st (corner). Two ladies are working it. This is a hidden gem?. Authentic Puerto Rican flavor for your palate? I had the mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce....My goodness, truly savory and well balanced flavors. I will definitely try what's on the menu in the near future. I also had the Pina colada (virgin)...also delicious ? I would highly recommend going there! The area is kinda shady, just keep your eyes open or go with a group. Don't let it deter you from going, just giving you a heads up.“
