So, we went to the broad street market right when it opened and witnessed the gentleman preparing the El Pastor. And we knew we would have to come back. We did and oh my gosh were the tacos delicious! The staff were so friendly!

I have frequented TEC several times already and really love their tacos! If you haven't tried them, you are in for a treat. I have tried both pork and beef tacos and the flavor is phenomenal! I typically get the mild sauce which really complements the meat. The owners are great guys who hustle. My orders are typically ready in about 10-15 minutes or less. Seriously, get over there pronto!

Honest to God the best fish tacos I’ve had in the US, I’m tempted to order these every day the market is open. Each taco has a whole portion of high quality fillet topped with fresh tangy salsa, and the crunch from the radish and cucumber makes it perfection. Comes with an additional salsa of various spice levels but I don’t even think it needs it. Authentic simplicity done right.
Amazing tacos and Guacamole! How is Taqueria El Compadre not reviewed on Yelp with this quality of Mexican food?!? Located in Broad Street market, I stopped by TEC recently on a Saturday afternoon and picked up their Al Pastor taco special (4-$10) along with an order of their guac and chips. I was expecting them to pull a container of quac out of the fridge and serve it with a handful of tortilla chips, but I was so wrong. They made the guac fresh after I ordered it and served it with a generous portion of homemade tortilla chips! Very impressive. The quac was absolutely delicious! The Al Pastor tacos were spot on, large portion of freshly shaved meat served on corn tortillas that did not fall apart while eating. Having corn tortillas that actually stayed together is actually worth 4 stars in my book. The flavor had a nice balance and was not overpowered by the pineapple (which is common in other places). The menu has a variety of tacos along with other traditional items. I highly recommend giving Taqueria El Compadre a try because if you're a taco aficionado like me, you will not be disappointed. Hands down my favorite tacos in Harrisburg right now. The food is wonderful, solid, really any positive and affirming adjective works here. Al pastor tacos are a must try. What sets these guys apart, aside from the quality of food, is the staff. Extraordinary and super friendly staff. Don't sleep on taquitos atenco.
