“Mainly a good spot. I was a first timer to this locale and I dined solo. Breakfast was good. Food could have been hotter however. I paid my bill in cash. It was $13.03. I handed the cashier $13.02. See said I was short a penny. Wouldn't let me go for a penny. I gave her another dollar bill and she gave me 97 cents change. I left a 30% tip by the way.“

“Went last week and had an amazing experience especially the assistance we received from our waitress and the pastry chef. I had the one of the special entrees of the day- duck breast and since I’m not drinking, their lavender lemonade was both cute and tasty. A little tart, but very lemonadey. My husband got a ton a stuff that I don’t remember, but he enjoyed every drink, appetizer ( it was a tuna bonbon special) and entree. I’ve driven past this place for years, so it was great to finally pop in. Added bonus, located in northwest Philly which is such an amazing part of the city.“
“The team at The Madison and Thomas, in particular, were exceptional. The venue's beauty was breathtaking, and its cleanliness was without fault. The culinary experience was a highlight, with dishes that transcended traditional event food, both in presentation and quality. Thomas, a true professional, made the planning process a breeze with his patience, knowledge, and helpfulness. The service received from Immanuel and the staff on the night of was flawless, and every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our guests felt welcomed and cared for. A big thank you to everyone for making this milestone event so memorable.“

“Great restaurant, great food and great staff. I had some issues with the GrubHub delivery and the restaurant called me to make sure everything was okay once they saw the exact same order was placed by me (Delivery man was confused, I contacted Grubhub and Grubhub set up another order on my behalf on their dime). The staff was friendly and took care of me. The food is always great and it hits the spot when I'm craving it. Totally worth it! And highly recommended. As a note: I tried to leave a review on Grubhub but they made it next to impossible to do so.“

The food was outstanding and made right in front of us. Max is a wonderful chef who worked magic to provide an incredible tasting menu by himself. Will be going back, and bringing friends.A very clear example of “you get what you pay for”.“

“Augusto's remains one of the best restaurants in the area. I hadn't been in a few years, but the food is excellent, creatively prepared, and affordable. We had the specials, which were amazing ( lobster bisque—George Perrier's recipe, which I had years ago at Le Bec Fin-the duck, and homemade gnocchi). Delicious. Excellent coffee too ( too full to try dessert!). Very attentive, friendly service. We'll be back!“

“McMenimin's is a terrific, very popular neighborhood bar/restaurant. It can be noisy, but if you sit in the back room, the noise is not too bad. We were there on a weeknight (Tuesday), and yet every table was filled by 7 o'clock. The food is better than one would expect for this kind of place. The fish and chips, chef's salad with portobello mushrooms and plant-based "cheeseburger" were all excellent. And portions were huge. The server was very pleasant. The reasons why this is 4 stars and not 5: No cocktail list at all and just a few not-so-great wines by the glass. And the entrees were served way before we were finished with the appetizers. They must have thought we had to catch a train. If you don't mind being rushed like crazy, then you might give McMenamin's 5 stars.“

“Al'Hamdu'Lillaah this place is good for big or small get togethers. The food is good. I've ordered the salmon, the Al-Shams burger, pizza, etc... Overall food is cooked right, you just have to make sure they get the order right. Maybe tell them twice and check while they're cooking it to be sure. There's a bathroom and a spot to pray which is a plus, Al'Hamdu'Lillaah. The parking is usual Philly find a spot. The one on Chestnut is the same . Food is good, spot to pray and a bathroom for wudu. The only difference is you have to pay for parking down on Chestnut but it's very cheap .... Enjoy! ?“

My son had the red velvet pancakes and liked it (he said 4/5). I had the braised beef Benedict and it was awesome. Great flavor and eggs were poached perfectly. Service was definitely 100%. “On March 9 we hosted a baby shower for my daughter on the patio at Jerzees. Even though the weather outside was terrible, we were completely comfortable and warm inside the patio. Everybody commented on how delicious the food was. We had the penne à la vodka, pizza, chicken fingers, and Caesar salad. The service was great. Our server, Bella, did a top-notch job. It was a crowd of 30+ people, and no one was ever without a drink or her excellent service. I would highly recommend Jerzees patio for small events. And the price was very reasonable, too. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.“

“This was our first visit to harvest. Parking was a bit jammed, but we were there during peak dinner time. Seating was immediate. The menu was filled with gluten-free choices for my wife. So much so that she had trouble narrowing down her selection. We had the burger, Mac & cheese. And the cedar plank salmon. All three were fantastic. Burger and the fish were perfectly cooked, and the drizzle on the salmon plate was fantastic. We did two shooters for desert covering a peanut butter candy cane and a cream cheese carrot cake. Both of which were amazing. However, the peanut butter one was heavy and hard to finish after all the other food. 100% would return again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly.“

“We love Steam Pub. Thank you so much to Chris for making things right with our order we had from takeout. We thought things were missing and Chris went above and beyond to fix it. It turned out that it was our mistake and when we went back to give back the gift card and wine he had given us he would not take it back. “This was my first visit to the New Olympics House. Last week I received a menu left outside my door. The menu was nicely prepared with beautiful monthly watering pictures. I was impressed by the amount of offerings and also a little worried because some restaurant offer a lot but food it not that good. So my brother and checked out the New Olympia House.Parking (as far as I know is street parking only). We were able to find a spot close to restaurant. We arrived around noon during a weekday. We were greeted by two hostesses and seated immediately. Our waitress greeted us introducing herself (I am sorry I can't remember her name). She spent a lot time going over the menu with us which we appreciated. When our food arrived it was well prepared. I ordered the pull pork sandwich with fries. My brother ordered chicken sandwich. We were both impressed with the size of the sandwiches. The food was delicious. We both left with "doggie bags". My brother ordered a grilled pork crop to take home for dinner. Also there is a bar in the restaurant. Next I visit I will order a beer.“

“On the recommendation of a Philly native, I went to a place called Steve’s Prince of Steaks in North Philly. The moment I walked in I was hit with a intoxicating aroma. The setting was fairly unremarkable, with stainless steele walls and painted cement floor, along with a row of barstools and a small counter, perfect for late night and early morning bar closers or the lunch crowd from the Pepsi bottling plant across the street! I sat down to eat my meal that consisted of a traditional Philly cheesesteak with fried onions cheese whiz and steak. The onions were so flavourful and the cheese whiz was almost addictive, I nearly finished it in one bite. I left this place thinking that I now know why they call it prince of steak and winner of a Guinness Book World Records winner. If I had to recommend going anywhere when you stop in Philly, it would be at this place rather than the overhyped tourist spots seen on TV and paid travel reviews. I feel like it embodies the quintessential idea of Philly, It is a true testament to Phillys traditional cuisine and really gives the city it’s nickname, the city of brotherly love and sandwiches!“

“whenever I am in Chestnut Hill I always say that I am going to try this restaurant. Well today I did and It did not disappoint OMG…. The restaurant is quaint and cute. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the broccoli quiche with turkey bacon on the side. That quiche is like none I have ever tasted, flaky crust and the filling reminded me of soufflé but much taster. I also brought 2 cups cakes carrot and coconut to go. I’m sure they are just as good. I can’t wait to go back because I hear there is a different quiche each week. This is my new breakfast place for sure.“

“First time eating at this local restaurant. It's a little small but the waitress move around with ease and are very efficient. We got our table before the rush. There were quite a few diners that knew each other which gave a hometown comfort. The food was delivered hot and delicious. I ordered the daily special of French toast, sausage and coffee. Then added a side of hashbrowns with onions (which I heard were good and they were). My husband ordered a western omelette, grits and rye toast. I was kind enough to share some of my hashbrowns with him. We cleaned our plates and my coffee cup was always full. This all made for a satisfying tummy.Parking: They have a shared parking lot and the side parking is on an incline.Wheelchair accessibility: Not handicap friendly“

“Just went to the Grill. Food was good. Clam chowder very rich as it should be. Asian salad a little heavy on the dressing but good. The Clothes Pin cocktail was ok but not exceptional; the st germain liquor was less evident than I'd hoped for. Coffee was good.Warning. While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. There are railings so it us managable by someone with some mobility.Wheelchair accessibility: While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. “The only critique I would have is that they need a better roll for the steak sandwich and it needs to be gutted. Now saying that I prefer the texture on the outside of the role to be different than the inside of the role. The roll feels like I’m eating white bread with seeds. But other than that, everything is delicious. I do not want to discourage you from getting the cheesesteak because it’s so good. I’ve had it several times! Like I said just prefer a different roll. The owner is very personable and besides the food bringing you back, you want to go back because of the owner.“

“It took far too long to get here, but I was finally able to hit McNally’s Tavern in Chestnut Hill for “The Schmitter”. There were quite a few things on this menu that looked good so don’t be surprised to see a follow up on this at some point, but had to talk about this sandwich and experience specifically. So we went on a Friday night around 7pm (had just landed in Philly at the airport) and the place was packed! We were lucky and a couple was leaving shortly after we told the hostess about our party so we sat fairly quickly. Cool vibe in the place, tin mugs hanging from the ceiling and sports on all the tv’s. Like I said though, crazy packed so it was loud and a bit chaotic. The Schmitter is a pretty odd sandwich honestly given what’s on it. Basically a cheesesteak with onions, tomato’s, salami, and their sauce that is similar to a Big Mac sauce. I’d never have thought to add salami to a cheesesteak, but here we are. The flavor was quite good, it was on a round Kaiser (you can order long roll if you want) which reminded me of donkeys place a bit, and the tomato added a nice freshness as well. The price is what you’d expect, maybe a tad bit more, for the sandwich and it comes with basic ridged chips. My girlfriend also got a chicken cheesesteak that was good but looked awful. They use a broiler/salamander to melt the cheese and it came out looking burnt, but it tasted fine. All in all I enjoyed it and will come back again and get another or sample other items. The Schmitter at McNally’s Tavern - Didn’t Suck!“

“My husband and I had been searching for a local breakfast spot for years and have been disappointed by all the area diners. I heard about 2nd St Pike Grill through my high school alumni group. May sound odd to some but shout out to CHS and go there if you're an alum reading this! Anyway...I saw eggs benedict. I can't count the times I've been left sad or questioned how the hollandaise was prepared. OMG my taste buds were so happy! My husband, one of the pickiest eaters on Earth demolished his potatoes saying this is the first time he ever had perfect potatoes. Atmosphere is chic and cozy. The staff is superb, attentive, and personable. We've been coming back just about every weekend now. One more thing - when you go, treat yourself to the most perfect omelet, ever.“
