Been wanting to check it out so this is where we went for my birthday dinner. Food is fantastic. Yum!

This is the first review I've ever written. This was our 1st and last visit to Boston Harbor Cape in Jeannette. It was Valentine's Day and I took my wife out to dinner. The tables were very close together so we couldn't help but overhear a conversation between a couple sitting beside us and the owner. The issue was that the couple were questioning why their surf and turf was $75 on the check and only $65 on the menu. My wife quickly got on her cell phone, pulled up their menu and saw that the surf and turf was indeed $65. The owner came over to talk to them and we could see that he was already agitated. He told the couple "the lobster was more because of the market price". The couple questioned that, the wife said normally if the price fluctuates instead of having a written price any good restaurant would have "Market Price" on their menu so the customer would then have to ask the server what the price is. The owner then said, "didn't you read the menu, its written there". He showed the couple on a menu where it was written, the wife looked at it and said you have got to be kidding, first of all its a very small, fine print where they usually put the printer or copyright information. It said something like prices subject to change. Stop there I thought, who in the world would go to the bottom of a menu to read the small print. Ah, no-one. The owner said to the wife, "do you want me to take $10 out of the cash register for you" and the wife said yes, that's only fair. He left and came back in a few minutes with a ten dollar bill, he put it down on top of their check and said something like "this will pay for part of you dinner" and left. First, he should have talked to them in the foyer, not in the middle of a packed dining room. Some of the other customers also heard what was going on, because they were making eye contact with us and shaking their heads. The couple was friendly, calm and never raised their voices. I looked at my wife and said, what a jerk, he never apologized and thought he didn't do anything wrong. I know for a fact that you can't advertise a price or have a written price then charge a customer a different price. We then checked the prices our bill which were correct. I wonder how many people didn't notice that they were being over charged. We will not be going back because first of all he's changing prices and not telling the customers which is wrong and very sneaky. Secondly on how he treated the couple who were totally in the right. I'm also putting this review on Facebook so others don't have the same issue.

Mackenzie was our server. She was very efficient and friendly. She provided us with everything we requested in a timely manner. We had calamari, oysters, lobster, filet, and scallops. All of these items were excellent. Definitely a 5 star rating!!

Almost 24 hours later and I'm still satisfied! I shared the Marconi Surf & Turf; the crab was the star of the dish, absolutely gigantic, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium. Our table split the jumbo shrimp, scallops, brussel sprouts, and sam adams clams for appetizers; everything was fantastic!

our family had an INCREDIBLE evening here last night! food, service, and atmosphere were all beyond excellent. the scallops were out of this world, and the steak was one of the best I've ever had, personally. literally EVERYTHING was super fresh and delicious, not to mention enormous portions. staff was friendly, informative, and attentive- Angie our server was SO sweet and killer at her job, along with another server named Dana who helped us out as well and was just as great! We are a big, loud bunch and they joined in on the fun, making us feel right at home. We really appreciated such a great night. Thank you so much!
This place far exceeded our expectations ! The food was just amazing ! Portions were giant & the service was top notch ! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're hungry & you love seafood !! also the owner is there , he actually cares if you are happy !

Was extremely disappointed with the atmosphere! Way TOO loud! The food was good but a bit salty and cold. Service was great! Was really looking forward to spending our New Years eve having an enjoyable meal but nope. People talking way too loud and some other noises as well. I noticed a few other couples looking uncomfortable. Should not have stayed. Cost way too much for such an unpleasant experience!Couldn't wait to get out of there!In response to the owner:While I understand that it was New Years eve, the Steelers were playing plus how busy it was, those are no excuse for how unpleasant it was! As for the limited seating-We had reservations, so it wasn't like we walked in!We spent around $150 for our meals! I expected this to be an elegant place! No liquor license, offered samples.Ended up drinking wine from a plastic cup! Felt so bad for my fiancé because he couldn't get his favorite beer.This was our 1st time there. As I see how the owner's attitude is by his response, it will be our last.

The meal was fantastic from beginning to end. Robin and Dana made the dinner amazing. The calamari was fried perfectly, lightly breaded and so fresh. The clam chowder was probably the best I have ever had the the broth was so flavorful. The rueben fish sandwich and regular fish sandwich were beyond huge. The fish was so flakey, fresh and flavorful and the french fries were perfect. I can not wait to go back and try more dinners with family and friends!
