I grew up in Kennett and had many meals with previous owners. My favorite was always breakfast. So when I came back to town with my wife from Georgia, she wanted to experience my hometown. Despite a different owner the food took me right back to Jacks Dinner. The wife actually tried scrapple for the first time, and said it was ok. For me the chipped beef and home fries - right on the money. The staff - awesome. Checked on us, quick on refills and additional stories from the past.

I use Door Dash to order from this breakfast gem! The Monster Medley hoagie has all the best foods of breakfast overflowing a yummy roll. The scrapple and bacon are perfectly cooked and the home fries are seasoned perfectly. I haven't been able to dine in the restaurant yet, but it is a goal. Highly recommend the food for a comforting breakfast. They serve lunch also.

This place is great. I am a huge breakfast fan and a master of the sausage gravy. This place has the best sausage gravy in the area! The atmosphere is a Mama's kitchen kind of feel.Parking: There is limited parking. You may have to get creative.

The service was friendly. The diner itself was below expectations. All of the condiments, except ketchup and hot sauce, are pre-packaged. The plates and silverware are very old. Our meals were nothing to write home about. We’ve been to really good diners and Creek Side is probably the worst. Even Waffle House has better quality.

A real throw-back. Good breakfasts - haven't had lunch yet. Try the Big Traveler. Thanks Hon.

We enjoy finding new places to eat and found this place. First, we were told to sit where we liked, after sitting we were TOTALLY ignored for 10 minutes! It was not like the place was big maybe 12 tables and no one saw us, we were intentionally ignored by specifically the two ladies that were over 50 years old, finally got the attention of the younger lady when she wasn’t busy at her favorite table chit chatting like she did our entire visit. Second, there were 2 other parties that came in and were immediately followed by those ladies and they were given the menus without asking or waiting, The food, presentation was horrible, took a long time to get to us and it was certainly not worth the wait, it’s very difficult to mess up breakfast food, there idea of hash browns was boiled potatoes, sausage biscuits taste like flour and eggs Benedict sauce looked and tasted like cheese whiz was added, powder sugar in the plate. When we were finished with our meal our server was again at her favorite table talking, we waited 10 min before we got up to go pay, she never noticed us 3 tables away. We get and wait at the register she still stood talking at her favorite table who by the way had been finished eating long before we did. At this time the two ladies that ignored our presence finally said something to us hahaha. They asked for our bill that we didn’t have and then asked what table number, like we are supposed to know that, our server was still at her favorite table talking, and we still left her a 20% tip on the table, they printed the check, we paid and left never to return or recommend.

The worst breakfast EVER!!! The potato tastes like they were two days old and reheated the breakfast sausage had no flavor the scrambled eggs were extremely dry the toast was barely toasted and soggy

Went for breakfast the server was miserable. Definitely did not want to wait on people. I could not even get her attention to get a refill on coffee. Food was not good. The potatoes were the only edible item.

The food is tasty and the staff is very friendly . It seems a tad pricey for diner food. The parking situation is dicey . Barely enough room for six cars which is weird because there's a very spacious dining room along with a counter with stools.

Passing through PA we stopped to check out creek side diner, the food was good. I tried the scrapple I hope I get the name right, it was ok to my liking, you should definitely try it and see. Great portion for a good price. This diner seems like the spot in town.Go give them a try.
