A real French bakery with the best macaroons and a variety of pastries. The quality is what you would have in France. Its worth driving over from Philly to have this.It would be one of best experience your taste buds would have had.I would be surprised if anyone would mention that they have had better deserts for the same items anywhere else.I would doubt if any NYC place can be better than this. Have visited them since the last 5 years and the quality is consistent. They have crossaints and coffee, that i plan to be there for breakfast some weekend.Their bistro has great food french food, if you are a fan of real french food.

One of my favorite desert shops in Lancaster. The selection is endless. The deserts are priced in the higher side but well worth it.

This place is so fabulous! We went for lunch and had the foi gras and the quenelles with steak frites and the salade lyonnaise. I am SO impressed and delighted - we will be back many times. Great service and comfy, cool vibes. Lancaster is lucky to have them!

Always good however this time the cook on the steak was not good. Ordered it rare to medium rare and it came out medium well. This particular cut was very thin. Disappointed that the chefs did not know how to do a basic cook on a steak.

Craving for french ?? deserts in Lancaster, PA? Definitely go to place for delicious sweets!!! Everything we saw at the bakery looked yummy. We ended up taking 5 deserts to go and yes it tasted delicious! Huge thanks to a young lady who helped us at the bistro and answered all our questions on ingredients.

Enjoyed a birthday dinner here during restaurant week. Was not planning on coming because of that, and it worked out well. Was greeted by a birthday gift of four macrons- very good, by the way. Our cocktails were well mixed- including the best espresso martini we ever had. The mac and cheese appetizer was delicious, and the French onion soup smooth and mildly sweet. Our entrees of beef bourguignon was one of the best ones I've had. It had a slightly different flavor, yet we thoroughly enjoyed it. We got three desserts from the bakery for after our meal plus many more to take home. Best bakery in Lancaster!

The bouillabaisse was excellent, great flavor, rich bouillon, mix of seafood with several mussels, shrimp, scallops, and fish, bread and rouille on the side, great presentation. Portion was on the small side and I was glad we had the raclette as an apetizer. Steak frites was solid, NY strip steak was well cooked an ordinary cut of meat, and also vastly more food than our other dish. Raclette was good. We had the molten chocolate cake for desert, with coffee ice cream, and was also excellent, and several other good options the night we were there. Mixed drink was also excellent. They were offering a gorgonzola and squash pasta, and wish we had tried that instead of the steak. We'll come back at some point to try the less common items on the menu, and steer away from the more traditional steak frites, moules, etc.

The food was amazing and the cocktails were incredible! Mike was one of the best bartenders we've had. The espresso martinis were 10/10. Order the Mac & cheese app and French onion soup for sure. Desserts were also amazing. We'll be back!

We stepped into this bakery on a cold and blustery morning and were enveloped by the aroma of coffee and greeted by the most beautiful patisserie display ever! It is a delight to choose from a wide variety of stunning and mouth watering options. The chef’s wife, Estelle, was very warm and welcoming and her authentic french accent added to the appeal. My husband and I ordered cappuccinos and the tiramisu and azure pastries. The azure was the clear winner but the tiramisu was delicious too. The sitting area for bakery patrons was a bit tight but other than that, it was an awesome experience. If you like french patisserie, visiting Barbaret should at the top of your list!

I had an amazing experience at this shop earlier this week! The employee was exceptional and went out of her way to help me make a decision, she was very polite, happy, and just very upbeat!! She had short brown hair and was petite (very adorable). Thank you for uplifting my day!!
