Had a great first experience here with dinner before 9 to 5 at The Fulton. Michael was an awesome server. Fun, friendly, and on top of things. Brought me my dessert first, as requested. ? Had one of the wood fired pizzas, and it was delicious. My "dessert first" Carrot cake was out of this world delicious!! Loved my Grapefruit Rose cocktail, too. We will be back!

Perhaps the best crab cake I have ever eaten.Service was prompt for a Friday night dinner reservation. All members of staff were polite and professional. Benjamin was our waiter and he was top notch.

Rough night between the front and back of the house.... Service was wonderful, timing of food delivery was horrible. We ordered 2 glasses of wine each, the Charcuterie appetizer to split, 2 salads and 2 entrees. The charcuterie and salads showed up together and very quickly after ordering. This is a boatload of food for 2 diners. Both were delicious and well prepared. We got the feeling that the entree was going to arrive in the next 5 minutes and that we were in a speed eating contest. Fortunately Benjamin our waiter realized this and did his best to slow down the entrees to give us a chance to eat a tableful of food at a leisurely pace. He clearly lost the battle with the back of the house and their desire to fulfill an order. When the entrees arrived, it was clear they spent time under the heat lamp. Both entrees were overcooked, chicken was extremely dry, scallops were overcooked and we barely touched them. Over 90 dollars worth of food that wasn't eaten on a 190 dollar bill before tip. We have been frequenting this restaurant 4-5 times a year. Hope this gets fixed.

We took my mother-in-law here for a birthday lunch, as we have gone there for a few special occasions before and had an amazing experience. That day everything about the decor and the food was delightful, but I felt as if our server was a little 'checked-out.' The food was out in a timely manner, but after the food arrived, our server disappeared for a long time. We sat several minutes waiting to ask for boxes and to get the check. We declined dessert, but a menu was left anyway (which is fine; I was a server and did this all the time). However, she never returned to take a dessert order or with the check. My husband finally had to go ask for the check. I really don't like having to do this. Other servers that day and we've had in the past have been great. Despite our service this day, I would still point anyone looking for a good restaurant in Lancaster to C'est la Vie.

We had a reservation for two, grabbed the roast cauliflower as our starter along with some water and a manhattan. Everything was thoughtfully executed, and lovely. My partner got the goat cheese, fig, and arugula flatbread and I got their filet, potatoes and haricot verts. They were both so good! Just blew my mind, my only complaint is that the steak and mashed potatoes were so good and the green beans were just...there, but that is a minor complaint. We finished with a shared dessert of their Hazelnut/Chocolate Rocher (like a mousse filled ball of deliciousness), and it was also wildly good.

Service was excellent, we were promptly seated upon arrival and given the perfect amount of time to look at the menu. Our food arrived quickly and was amazing, while also being surprisingly affordable. We were celebrating a birthday, and they allowed us to pick a dessert from their dessert menu free of charge. It was quickly prepared yet again and tasted amazing. I could not recommend this establishment more for celebrations and date nights!

Four "old friends" met for lunch at this lovely restaurant. It was our first time here and I just made a reservation to return. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. Our server Kyle was so personable and attentive. Looking forward to going back!

Such a cute place! It's right above Josephine's. Reservations are def recommended. The food was delicious and the servers were knowledgeable, attentive, and very nice! The beef bourguignon was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The ratatouille was seasoned very well and the red sauce had the smallest amount of kick in it. Seafood croquettes very super yummy as well!

My wife and I went out for a nice dinner. We had the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, which was pretty good. My wife had the pistachio salmon and I had steak frites. Both had good flavour and were overall above average. We had the Rocher for dessert, which was sublime. The service was slow but the server apologised. Unfortunately it was very loud inside, which detracted from the experience.

Gluten free gourmet pizza to die for. Very private booth space and excellent, cheerful, prompt service.

This restaurant advertises as a casual French restaurant but the food did not live up to expectations. The Angus burger was dry and the fries were wet. They didn't have all of the needed ingredients for the pizza and it was mostly crust. The crab cakes had a disgusting sauce that ruined the cakes. The coq au vin was meh--Very salty but mostly sauce. Same with the boeuf bourguinan-- very little beef, a lot of salty sauce and not much else. These last two dishes are traditional French stews, but they served a lot of sauce over orzo, with very little veggies or meat. This left us completely underwhelmed and not interested in dessert or cocktails. The wait staff was rather rude and not knowledgeable about the menu. It was an expensive meal and completely unsatisfying but very disappointing. We couldn't leave fast enough.

We had a wonderful evening with old friends that we hadn't seen for some time. They had never been to C'est La Vie. They were wowed. Benjamin was the consummate server offering just the right amount of attention. The food was awesome as always. We were seated in the “alcove” area which was perfect. We all noted the lower noise level. We spent a leisurely 2 hrs doing dinner and we appreciated that we were not rushed. Thank you for allowing us a most pleasant evening

Whoever I just talked to on the phone was rude. I called to ask if they would take 2 of us without a reservation and she said no.. we wont have availability for you. We won’t have availability all night. It was more of how she said it to me she was not interested in even faking it and pretending like she could find somewhere to squeeze us in… she sounded like she didn’t want to even be bothered with me. It’s a shame.
