Our first visit won't be our last. Food was really good just as we were told. Portions are large so it's easy to share if you can agree on one tasty item. Friendly efficient waitress. I sat next to the window unfortunately, so kept my coat on. It's not fancy or updated by any means, but the food was fantastic.

This restaurant has great food, and love the atmosphere. The one waitress is all over the place, not sure what is wrong with her but definitely something. but i'm not going to go into that. The portions are huge, and for their size the price is great. Super cute and nice bartender who is really quick and gives great service. all the other waitresses are sweet and quick beside the one. Would definitely recommend stopping by!

Epitome of a neighborhood bar and restaurant. The wings ARE AMPLE and fried to order. I like mine with that perfect amount of crisp!

They forgot my salad. I got the wrong food but the food was good.

Don't come here looking to have fun, they'll get to know you very fast and start treating you like you don't belong there. They'll start cutting you off more and more each time you go there to the point where they tell you off. No wonder there usually isn't too many people there. Just a bunch of old people who sit there munching on their fries.

I had to come back. The quality of the food was unexpected and awesome, and the locals knew it. An old tavern situated in a farm area. Perfect.

Good drinks and food. They really know how to make a long Island iced tea. Not stingy with the liquor

These clam fritters are something but need a little work, everything fantastic and very good staff that night

Let's start with the poor bartender. She was new but incredibly sweet. However due to either horrible ownership/management, she is forced to measure out a shot at a time to make a drink. This affects the customer bc she got so far behind and drinks would take much longer than usual to get or for customers to get refills. The customer service goes out the doors when crap like that is done. And it is NOT the bartenders fault as she stated that is the policy there. I have not seen a bartender have to measure out a shot in decades. So stop the non-sense already and put pouring caps on the bottles and let this poor girl do her job. If she's not a certified bartender or has no experience being a bar tender, then hire a real bartender. If she is a bar tender with experience stop hand cuffing her and let her do her job. Now onto the food. The bacon wrapped scallops were decent but you can't put them out with no dipping sauce. This is the first restaurant I ever been to that had bacon wrapped scallops without a dipping sauce. Most places use some type of honey mustard dip. The calamari, take it off the menu, completely bland and tasteless, clearly frozen and not even crispy. I got the "best in the county" crab cakes. That 's what it said on the menu. They were terrible!!! and not even close to being the best in Lebanon County. Super dry and fell apart and super bland. No seasoning whatsoever. The wife got the stuffed haddock, clearly frozen haddock so again, bland, tasteless and blah. The bake potatoes, broccoli, salad and house dressing that we got with the meal were very good but how can you mess that up. Overall I love the place, it's a cool environment, everyone is really nice, but the food quality is super lacking. And stop with the bs with measuring out a shot and take a hard look at the quality of food. And a piece of advice, customers don't want to see cooks in sweaty t-shirts walking from the kitchen to the cooler and then walking out of the cooler back to the kitchen with a piece of fish, sausage, and raw food in their hands while wearing no gloves. Pretty disgusting and the health standards are super lacking.

Absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal. Just a little heads up it takes a little bit to get your food because each plate is made fresh. I personally don't mind waiting for good food.

Ate there for the first time last week and wanted to go back the very next week. Had the prime rib the first time. It was delicious. 2nd week had the Tavern burger. Had the 1/2 pound burger(I think their scale is broken because it was a lot bigger then 1/2 pound). It was perfect. Wait staff were very nice. Pace of meal was slowed a little bit but it's slow everywhere (complainers get used to this, this is the new normal, give service people a break, they work hard for you). We look forward to next time, and there will be one. Thanks for the great meal.

Ok I got a chance to visit Franz tavern on south 5th Avenue and my wife and I were impressed ? we both had the Philly cheesesteak and shared an order of fries with ice tea let me tell ya mmmmm?delicious, im not a big fan with the cheese on the top BUT, this really worked because the bun was just right, and most important you have a cup of sauce to dip, now I'm a tough sob so I'm just being straight, you all wanted to know, to wrap it up the customer service from Shea was awesome so we're going back and I want to see ya there
