i've been a 30+ year resident of Malvern and I've been going to Classic Diner since day one. It seems as though since the owner is no longer manages the restaurant the service level has been slipping. You wouldn't know by the parking lot, but someone who's seen this place firing on all cylinders knows it's not what it used to be. We went there for Sunday breakfast this weekend and we're seated at the window Bar. It took 15 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us, and no one ever came by with coffee. We asked the waitress for coffee and it never came. Our meals came out and still no coffee on top of that my wife ordered pancakes and it came out without butter or syrup, and we had to wait another five minutes to get the butter and syrup, I ordered scrambled eggs and they were horrible! How can you not have fluffy, scrambled eggs and a diner of this caliber? I Judge restaurants by staple foods that they should nail each and every day without flaw. I believe this restaurant Is not handling the large crowds well, and it's better served turning people away rather than dishing out terrible service, and food. There's a reason why Nudy's can open up so many restaurants, they get the small details right the first time. Hope you turn it around!

This place is amazing! Between the food and the staff everything is always spot on here! I love there chicken tenders, hand cut fries, chicken quesadillas, and their Cesar salad! You can tell the staff loves their jobs and what they do! Really a perfect breakfast / lunch spot in Malvern!

Great breakfast, the beacon is THE BEST!!! The service was friendly and fast considering how busy they were. Food is yummy, yummy a bit on the high price but not excessively expensive. I would come back? Yes for the beacon.

Classic, but upscale, breakfast. I substituted Canadian bacon for pork roll which resulted in a perfect Eggs Benedict. A crowded restaurant space which is just fine by me.

Very solid diner with great portion sizes, awesome friendly and quick staff, lots of seating and parking.I took a star away because they definitely have many add-ons that you might not even suspect are add-ons and they really add up quickly. I have been twice now and the servers never mention there will be an up-charge. Some things are clearly laid out for instance adding cheese to your omelette, others like getting cream cheese for a bagel is $2.00 we wouldnt have expected. See bill for breakdown.Aside from that though the food is good, fresh and portion sizes are nice. Will definitely return.
