“Ive been eating Baltimore crabs since before I can remember... I was very skeptical just moving here, however I was very impressed! I dade say they are better crabs than ive gotten in maryland, seasoned well, nice and full and great staff! We go almost every week! I highly recommend!“

“During Lent Season, we frequent Big Mike's Crabhouse on a Friday, typically late afternoon. We try to beat the crowd, as this restaurant is not that big, but the seafood is absolutely delicious! Service is always excellent!!!! Big Mike's is a very relaxed atmosphere! They are a BYOB, so you can bring your favorite adult beverages if you choose to do so!!! If you choose to have an entree, but do not wish to have the sides, they will adjust the price! I love their cod fish (2 pieces), but don't always want the French fries, etc., they will serve you just the fish and adjust your bill accordingly. The pound of shrimp is always cooked to perfection, we have our shrimp served with melted butter and cocktail sauce, so delicious!!! If you're in Hanover and love seafood, stop by!!!!“

Coming from south of the Mason-Dixon line in my thirties it was the one thing that I missed Old Bay blue crabs from the Eastern Shore. Now living here and being adopted as a Pennsylvania and almost 28 years agoI found a few decent seafood places. However, I don't think any compare and have as good a taste as Crab Shack! Plus they were my first Saving Grace for crabs. As well been making them taste great for the last 25 years! this is a family-run business and both wife Lori who runs the snowball end of the business and her husband the crabs are wonderful hard-working people and always a pleasure to deal with. over the last 10 yearsif you were a regular customer you even seen the son and daughter putting time in helping their parents at the business. They always seem to find great young peopleto maintain the business in the evenings at the snowball stand. Always busy kicking out snowballs, cones, an ice cream sundaes to customers lined across the parking lot quickly,courteously, while always wearing a smile and being friendly. The staff or usually alwayswonderful promising young peoplethat are primed to be the potential of our communityand is wonderful as the small business owners who employed in here! kudos to a wonderful establishment. “The best Chinese food in Hanover. When I moved here last year I made a point of trying every Chinese restaurant in town and this is easily my favorite. My entire family agrees. The staff is super friendly too and they gave us a free calendar at the end of the year. This has become our regular go-to place.“

“Since our family Easter dinner was a week later my husband and I chose 81 Diner after church. We both had the Honey Roasted Ham entre which was outstanding and large portion with 2 sides. They have the best sweet potato fries, so I always choose that for one of them. Cole slaw was really good, too. A cup of cream of crab soup was our starter. We eat here quite often, and atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming.“

“Our food was delicious! I ate everything, and I got the Ultimate feast and added an extra lobster tail and grilled scallops. I always choose the Hanover location as the York location isn't as nice. My server sucked this time, but maybe he was having an off day. It took about 20 minutes for him to appear so I could ask for the bill. He forgot my appetizer. Oh, well. “We stopped here on a whim with our daughter and niece. Great cocktail and beer menu, with signature martinis and interesting choices on tap. Nice variety of options on food menu, including plenty of non-seafood options. Maryland and cream of crab soups both very good. Salads also nice and fresh (and we loved the super chunky blue cheese dressing). Salmon Monte Carlo was a very large filet cooked perfectly and covered with a tasty sauce. Shrimp scampi was plentiful with nicely cooked shrimp. Crab legs were well steamed. Stuffed mushrooms were good, but not great. Bread and biscuits were yummy. Service was excellent and we thought prices were appropriate and not as expensive as we've seen at other restaurants. We are from out of town and only have Red Lobster back home, so this was a great (and far superior) alternative! Good restaurant all around.
