I have wanted to try this place for so long and when I heard they were closing I had to run out and try it at least once. I got their flagship burger, the Mechanicsburger ($16.95). It is made with 21 day dry aged beef ground with their house bacon and has a fried tomato, red onion, and garlic aioli. It was a really good, the burger itself was super flavorful and the fried tomato and garlic aioli just put it over the top. Definitely one of the better burgers I've had in the area. Then instead of going the usual side of chips I substituted a side of the Smoke & Pickles Fries ($4.95) with pulled pork. The pulled pork was very tender, the only complaint I have are that the fries were cold. The pulled pork was the only thing that added any warmth to it. Ryan had The Smoker ($17.55) which was their pulled pork sandwich and he said that it was really good! He got the side of chips and I have to applaud them, I usually hate homemade chips because they are too thick but these were nice and thin and crispy and salted properly, definitely the best homemade chip I've had from a restaurant. If you have a chance to check this place out before they close on Sunday November 20th please do! They will be missed!

I was excited to try this place due to what I had heard. I got the Pit Master and was extremely disappointed. The sandwich did not meet my expectations. It was okay but not as good as I have had elsewhere. Definitely not woth the price and I will not be visiting this establishment again.

So yummy and fresh! Loved the garlic aioli. The mechanicsburger was delish, and a round of applause for the homemade chips

On our first visit here we showed up just 10 minutes before they closed (not realizing it of course) and the owner? could not have been any nicer accommadting us. We tried to make it easier for him since they were starting to clean up to close with ordering off their "Specials" and our order was not only served quickly but was DELICIOUS~! We will be going back, hopefully this Sunday with extended family for their Brunch menu`! Highly recommend this place and that says alot from this Foodie who only eats at restaurants that makes food better than I do :) haha

I had read about this place in the Harrisburg Patriot News & had been wanting to come. There is only street parking, however I arrived shortly before the bank closed, so parked in the bank lot right across the street. There is indoor seating & a deck outside. The young man who served me was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I was really impressed. The servings are large & filling. The young man who took my order recommended the French fries & they are amazing! I want to return & try more menu items. They also have swag, and other food products. I also like that is kind of a small town, local business.

As a farmer, I’m always thrilled to have a whole animal butcher shop in my community. Chef Mills is top notch, the food is flavorful and hearty, and the service is phenomenal. You’ll see cuts you can’t get fresh anywhere else and the relationships with the local community are reflective of the exemplary customer service Chef Mills values. Smoke & Pickles is a “don’t miss” sort of place. Try it. You’ll be back!

Street parking, outside seating is on that same street, clean business and restrooms, pleasant staff, good food.Easy to let your eyes get carried away in this place if you have eaten here before. Portions are good sized and flavourful. Outside seating is kinda blah (town steet is loud) but inside is nice enough. Staff are friendly, non pushy, accommodating, and knowledgeable about where the food is sourced from.Aside from the outside seating this place is very good cost and food wise.

I have been coming here for years. Dave selects only LOCAL, humanly sourced meats and dry ages them. He does scratch cooking, and everything he serves is fresh and authentic. He fully butchers the animals, and makes sure that nothing goes to waste.

Some of the worst brisket I’ve ever eaten. But that’s because they flash smoke their meat. They don’t even buy the whole brisket. They buy pulled brisket, pork, and chicken in a bag then they season it and put it in a foil pan on the smoker for a half hour. I wouldn’t have even give them a one star. Straight counterfeit bbq.

This local spot is a must! Chef Dave knows his stuff and has built a very well run restaurant with food that will completely tantalize your tastebuds. When the pig is out, you need to stop in! ...fellow patrons know what I mean...

Found this place on the PA Charcuterie Trail!! I can't wait to go back! The place has the coolest hippest vibe! The menu is limited, but there is something for everyone here!!! We tried the fried deviled eggs and fried pickles...so creative and DELICIOUS!!! I got the slider trio of sloppy Joe (not your canned sloppy Joe!), pulled chicken and pulled pork. I thought each one was the best I'd ever had until I tried the next one and it was even better! To pick my favorite would be like picking a favorite child!!! Everything is butchered there and they bake their own bread!! Stop it!!! Just stop! It's. So. Incredible! But wait, there's more...the bread pudding!!! The smoked maple bourbon bread pudding...my husband said we couldn't finish it...yeah, right!!!!!!!! It's all I can think about now...
