Staff was nice, however the lo mein noodles had WAYY too much soy in it. Also be prepared to spend $20 just for yourself here... the noodles (small container) costs $7 while the chicken costs $13

Finally, FINALLY some decent Chinese food in the Mechanicsburg area. We've had such a dearth of good Chinese for so long, and sometimes you just want some good old American Chinese food. We've ordered takeout from here several times and have been happy with our food each time. We've had General Tso Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Lo Mein, and Scallion Pancake and all were excellent. I've also tried the "Hot & Spicy Chicken" which was good but a little bit dry. We've been ordering a lot recently because it's been such a treat to have Chinese in the area that is good. Try it! You'll like it.

Excellent food, however don't expect to sit down and eat here. Minimal tables and you only get paper plates and plastic utensils. If you're looking for great takeout, then this is your place!!

Gross. I expected more because Panda Express at the Giant is good. But the chicken was soggy and bland.

Okay, firstly, there's a lack of Chinese food here which is oddly strange. What's even stranger is that this little nook is inside Giant. We got the lo mein and chicken and broccoli and general tsao's. Can't go wrong with those options. Definitely not the best Chinese food I've had, but definitely hits the spot. Will go again soon! Thank you!

More broccoli than chicken in the hot and spicy chicken. Also it's only mildly spicy. It is fast and easy though. There is a lot of better Asian food out there so unless your in a hurry I would try another.

Simple dishes are the hardest to make. Try the pork fried rice - fragrant, layered, and unassuming from first to the last bite. Everything I have tried has been spot on. Not cloyingly sweet or a salt bomb - the food is a delightful experience and yes, I am talking about Americanized Chinese food. Highly recommend finishing the meal with their donut bites - sweet and pillowy - oozing with nostalgia.

I ordered food at 11:30. Delivered at 1:01. They delivered cold, hard dumplings with a sticker on the box showing they were made at 10:30 am. The only thing that was good out of 5 items were the crab Rangoons. Very disappointing.

Typical American Chinese takeout food conveniently located inside the Giant Supermarket. This is the second Taipei Chinese Kitchen I've visited. The appearance and organization of its takeout menu is totally different from the one in Enola, but the dishes are similar, if not identical. It strikes me as very odd that even the logos are different but contain the same elements (island of Taiwan inside a circle, but different suns, and different fonts). It almost feels like this is a "bootleg" version of the other establishment. LOL.

Love the food but wish I could call in an order. Food is usually fresh, hot and they will take requests but it just takes time because you can't call it in.

It continues to puzzle me why this area is so lacking good Chinese food. I mean can we have 10% of what we get in Edison NJ or 1% from Chinatown? By and large, we get only Americanized Chinese food here. When I saw "Taipei" in this name, I was so excited because I normally associate "Taipei" with Taiwanese cuisine, not the Americanized Chinese food. Then I saw it's within the Giant Supermarket so my hope dropped. I read the online menu - yep, all Americanized dishes. Nevertheless, I made an order anyway because my son was really fussing for fried rice and lo mein. Upon further research, it turns out this is only 1 of the 5 locations in the Harrisburg area; there are 4 more further away. I found the stall inside Giant Supermarket. It doesn't really stand out as a separate establishment but one of the 3 counters behind the prepared food department ("Meals & Sides") within the supermarket. There are cooked dishes displayed under the counter just like Panda Express. So technically, you don't have to order online but just order on the spot and get your food right away. I had an opportunity to chat with the staff as it wasn't busy at the time. They were quite friendly and even offered me a couple of complimentary Chinese donuts. The food was on par with what I expected for American Chinese dishes, but the serving size was rather generous. For that (the value), the friendliness of its staff, the convenience of its location, and last but not least -- the complimentary donuts, I added one star to my rating. I did grab a physical copy of their menu and spotted 2 less typical dishes (potentially more authentic kind) that I might want to give a try. So there will be future visits.
