Went on a Thursday night with my mom and wife, the owner greeted and seated us. She was a delightful woman and walked us through the menu. We had delicious ceviche, pico and queso to start which were all outstanding. For our mains I had the puntas xochimilco which was wonderful beef tips in stew, great with tortillas! My wife and mother had the chicken enchiladas which both very much enjoyed. For desert we had the tres leches which the owner told us she made every day fresh. We have been looking for our go-to Mexican place and we believe we found it at hildago.

This is a hidden gem. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food and a restaurant with character, this is the place. The food is amazing. It's not your typical Americanized Mexican food. It is byob but they make an amazing virgin margarita which you are welcome to byoTequila. Soledad is an absolute sweetheart and every time I have been there, I've been able to enjoy her sing a song for someone's birthday or just for the crowd. Definitely a must try!Kid-friendliness: They have tacos and quesadillas and Soledad is super accommodating and so sweet.

Went for dinner and food was excellent! Had the Sopa Azteca and the broth was so tasty. The Tacos huastecos were meaty and again so tasty. My son had the Enchilados and he said they were some of the best he’s had. Overall, a delicious and reasonable meal with great service!! Highly recommend!

Stopped here on a quick walk waiting for an appointment. The food was great. Better than expected. The guacamole was sooo perfect! And great size serving. The steak on my tacos was tender. Owner was very friendly giving the place an even better ambiance and service was just perfect! I felt like I stopped by my aunts house for lunch.

Family owned and excellent food. Just happened to stumble upon this restaurant and will be returning. It is the real deal authentic Mexican. Service was phenomenal and our Waitress surprised blew us all away with a surprise song and her phenomenal singing voice. It was an incredible dining experience and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!!

Soledad and her family gave us an experience we will never forget. At the end of our meal she along with her brother, sang to everyone in the restaurant... her voice pierced my soul. And the food was great!Todo salio bueno!!!

I live in Berks County but make the trek to Hidalgo whenever possible. Not a fancy place but very authentic & the food, service & staff are very, very good! We ordered Ceviche, Guacamole, taco's & soup for apps (4 of us dinning) and that were all really tasty & fresh. Ceviche was top notch!. Our entree's were very flavorful and the portion size is great. It is BYOB so bring your Tequila and let them make one of the best Margaritas you will taste. If you're lucky you will get to hear the lovely owner serenade the restaurant with Spanish singing! She's really a great singer and her performance adds to the atmosphere and dining experience! Check then out.. you won't be disappointed!Parking: Parking garage is right down the street for no more than $4
